Britney's Mom to Write Parenting Book

NEW YORK (AP) - Lynne Spears is planning to write a book about raising her family in the glare of the media spotlight. The memoir could be a gossip lover's delight, providing maternal insight into the life of her daughter Britney, who has gone from child star to tabloid train wreck.

"Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World" is set for release May 11, which is Mother's Day, said Curt Harding, a spokesman for Thomas Nelson Inc., a Christian book publisher.

"That is all we're releasing at this time," Harding told The Associated Press on Friday. "I have not seen a manuscript so I cannot comment on the content."

Spears, 25, continued to make headlines Friday when she arrived in a white Mercedes convertible for a court hearing in Los Angeles to work out custody arrangements of her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

True enough. If only it were that easy. I for one will not be tuning in. How the heck are Dina or Lynne qualified to write or star in a show about raising children and having them turn out "well". In Dina's case she wants to empower single mothers everywhere. Can you see me rolling my eyes through the computer?! I just don't get some of these celebrities and their parents.

So the judge's decision is supposed to come down today, and what does Britney do? She goes out partying until 2am.... What a responsible thing to do! Congrats, Britney - now just be sure to be a few hours late for court - don't forget to drive-thru Starbucks on the way - and then the judge will just hand over those 2 boys to you!!!!
