Oh, it's not just supposedly. She's definitely pregnant. There'll be a 6 page article in the new OK about it. Seriously this family should just.... seek serious help. The ENTIRE family. Parents on down. Who lets their 16 year old live with her 19 year old boyfriend?!

These are some bad parents. Why on earth would you let daughter's boyfriend live in the house with you, that's just asking for trouble. I can't stand those parents who say I rather have them at home doing these types of things instead of out somewhere else where it isn't safe. Kids these days have no respect for there parents or themselves and that definitely has to do with how they are raised! And why wasn't she on birth control. You would think her mother would use what little common sense she has and put her on birth control since she's letting the boyfriend live in the house with them.

16 year old mommiedom might have been okay back in ye olden days when the farmwife had to pop out the replacements as quickly as possible before she got old. But these days? Its ludicrous.

I wonder what the Spears family policy is on birth control anyway. Never mind abstinence.

Thanks to Wikipedia (and a vague memory of having to sit through it with my nieces), I now know that Jamie Lynn Spears' show is called "Zoey 101", and is about a boarding school. It's Nickelodeon, not Disney apparently. And... this is probably more than I'd care to know about Jamie Lynn Spears if it wasn't part of this whole fascinating Shakespearian level "Tragedy of Britney".

Furthermore, lil' Jamie's show is still being produced. Ergo, its star's pregnancy will either call for a "very special teen pregnancy episode", or delay the last season of the show for about a year.

Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old sister of Britney, is 12 weeks pregnant!!!!!!

The Zoey 101 star says the father is her longtime boyfriend, Casey Aldridge. Here are some interview snippets via OK!:

On the pregnancy news being a shock to her and Casey: “It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected. I was in complete and total shock and so was he.”

On keeping the news to herself when she first found out: “As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn’t tell anybody. Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me.”

On her mother not liking the news of her pregnancy: “[My mom Lynne] was very upset because it wasn’t what she expected at all. A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive.”

On her future with Nickelodeon series Zoey 101: “I haven’t spoken to (Nickelodeon) personally, but they have always been so great to me over the past years and have given me so many opportunities.”

On the message she’s sending to other teens about premarital sex: “I definitely don’t think it’s something you should do; it’s better to wait. But I can’t be judgmental because it’s a position I put myself in.”

This will be mom Lynne’s third grandchild (Britney has two young sons herself). “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious,” Lynne says. “She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.”

Nickelodeon’s statement: “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

I find the bolded question/answer interesting. Jamie-Lynn supposedly thinks this all through... takes WEEKS to think it all through... but then gives a freaking interview to a rag magazine before she bothers to tell her boss? The boss that has been great to her through the years? The boss of her show about teenagers?

Great decision there, Jamie-Lynn.
