| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away I read an article today that said losing her kids was probably just what Britney wanted. Losing kids may be what Britney wanted - Celebrity News - MSNBC.com If that is the case, then the kids are better off away from her until she grows up. Poor kids.

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away I did find it suspicious that she dropped off the kids immediatly instead of waiting until Wednesday. | |

I hate to play the devil's advocate, but I think those kids are much better off in his custody. He seems to be a good dad, it's just the rest of him that is so icky. I never got the vibe from him that he was a partier, the only feeling I got was he was icky.

She has to want the help and it doesn't matter what family, friends, associates/hired help, Judges, the Media or Joe Public wants so badly for her. I truly think at this point she feels that she has nothing else to lose and she feels defeated. Now it's like so what & what the hell, why not? She feels she's doomed and she's VERY alone now on top of it. She's just going to rebel more. I don't really know why her mother turned her back on her and sided with Federslime... no matter what - you stick by your flesh and blood. If nothing else, stay mutual. Do not go to the other side, especially when your daughter feels like jumping ship and sinking without a "Life Preserver!"!

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away A nice sentiment, but unfortunately it's directed at the wrong person. Her mother did not 'turn her back' on Britney, she was there trying to help her, but as her dad said "when your kid has millions of dollars of her own, when she wants to disappear or cut you out, unfortunately she can do it." Britney has consistently and publicly slapped her mother in the face, even going so far as to accuse her of sleeping with K-Fed, and other ridiculous things. It was only a month or so ago when Britney personally delivered to her mother a legal letter telling her to keep away from Britney and her kids. At this point, Mrs. Spears first loyalty is NOT to Britney, it's to her grandchildren who are helpless in all this mess. It would be lovely to think that being loyal to Britney would also be the same as being loyal to the grandkids, but it isn't. Britney has proven over and over and over that she isn't a fit mother and that her children aren't safe with her, so if Mrs. Spears has to choose between doing what's best for the minor grandchildren or what's best for her self-destructive daughter, then she made the correct choice. And as dagwood said above, by all accounts K-Fed is the better parent of these two, so if doing what's best for the grandkids means letting K-Fed get custody of them, then so be it. But let's be clear here.. Britney is the one who's turned HER back on just about everyone in her life who loves/loved her and tried to help her -- even her own children. She not only turned her back on them, she actively pushes them down a steep hill away from her. Ms Britney is the one who needs to learn that little lesson about family.

If my mother did that to me, I'd be very bitter! Why didn't her mom go for custody? Hell, Virgie tried to get Anna Nicole's child and she was a blimp on the radar and not involved in her life (until...$$$) On the other hand, Britney's mother was so much a part of her life. ![]()

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away Because like it or not, he is the father of her grandchildren. If Mrs. Spears had stayed completely out of all of this, then everyone would be in an uproar about it, accusing her of not caring enough about her grandchildren to get involved. So she's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't, in the public eye. Fortunately for her grandchildren, Mrs. Spears is able to put aside any personal dislike she may or may not have for her ex-son-in-law and try to do what's best for the 2 kids. And I completely agree with dagwood in that K-Fed has ick factor up the wazzoo, but his personality is irrelevant, all that's relevant is getting those kids where they can be safe, loved, and have more stability than they've had so far in life. And who is to blame for Mrs. Spears' possibly hoping that K-Fed gets custody over Britney? Only Britney is to blame for that. So let's not get confused on the real issue.... the real issue isn't that anyone may or may not be siding with icky K-Fed in his custody petition, the real issue is that everyone involved needs to put aside any personal feelings or hurts or prejudices and do what's best for those 2 children. It doesn't matter who seems to be in who's camp, all that matters is the welfare of 2 innocent victims in the trainwreck that is Britney's life.
