| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away I'm hoping it has to do with him wanting to make sure his boys don't come to any needless harm. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, at this point. I'm glad to see it happen. I was convinced that some judge was waiting for somebody to die (her or one of the boys) before anyone took any action. I don't care about him wanting the money, as long as he keeps the children safe. There is nothing wrong with collecting the child support that comes with the custody of the children...that is their birthright. After all....nobody forced her to marry him and have children with him.

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away This is the rare case where I hope someone hires a really superior full-time Nanny. I mean, obviously if you hire a Nanny you want it to be the best one possible, but usually you hope the parents take a big enough role that the Nanny is mostly superfluous. Not in this case. That better be the best Nanny in the world, because she's definitely going to be the primary caregiver. And probably should be. I guess its kind of a repeat of the situation with Anna Nicole's kid. The kids are walking talking dollar signs. So having them safe might be an improvement, but the kids are going to need SOMEONE sane around.

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away I like that he also involves family members in the childrens' care. They deserve to know their families, but I agree with you....a great nanny is a must.

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away I agree Krom, somebody needs to be there for those boys and I hope I'm wrong about Kevin and he turns out to be an amazing father. But I just see a fame hound who sees a way to make money (since I'm sure the prenup took away any money he might have made that way.) Maybe a grandmother or somebody will step up and become the primary caregiver for those boys.. or like you said.. a really good super nanny. |

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away Well, we do know that Kevin enlists Brit's parents to help out with the kids. They babysit when he works, etc. I hope that it continues and was not just a ploy to win full custody. I did read some quote from his attorney a while back, when he was first going for more custody, that he was NOT asking for an increase in child support $$$. We shall see how long that remains true. Once the alimony runs out (this month, isn't it?), he will need some type of $ to care for those kids. And, quite frankly, if Brit is such a mess that she cannot pull her head out of her a$$ long enough to realize her kids are paying the price, she deserves to lose a large portion of her wealth to the father/guardian of her boys. Just my opinion

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away Gee.... too bad she didn't do this after the court hearing last month. ![]() Britney applies for a CA driver's license After temporarily losing custody of her children, Britney Spears sought to address at least one other problem in her life: she applied for a California driver's license. Spears, 25, handed off sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, to a bodyguard for ex Kevin Federline, then drove with a friend to a Department of Motor Vehicles office in Van Nuys, Calif. There, Spears filled out paperwork and took a written test. DMV regulations do not require a behind-the-wheel test. Last month, the singer was charged with misdemeanor driving without a valid California license and hit-and-run following fender-bender in a store parking lot on Aug. 6. According to the DMV, Spears had never been issued a California license, despite having homes in Los Angeles for years. The state requires people to apply for a license within 10 days of residence. Records show that Spears does have a Louisiana license valid through December 2009. She apparently had furnished that license to law enforcement on the numerous times she's been pulled over. "Britney is taking a gamble by continuing to drive when her pending case of driving without a valid California license hasn't been settled yet," says legal expert Lawrence Taylor. |

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away Didn't I hear that she had taken several written tests but never passed? I can't believe they do not have to take a road test.

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away I'm not sure about all states, but in many, if you are transferring a license from another state, no road test is required.

| Re: Britney Spears Just Won't Go Away Having moved around quiet a bit, as long as your license doesn't expire the SOP is to just give the written test. |
