Just goes to show that stable people draw in stable relationships that last. I used to say that Brittney was young, etc. but I had my son at 18 and had a few issues trying to be a grown up until around 21 then I completely became the woman I should have been and a parent putting my child first. I have a hard time understanding why she can't put the kids first.

There are a lot of people that have problems putting their kids first. My best friend has custody of her granddaughter because the mother is a flake. She will leave the baby with grandma so she can go to work and come back 3 days later because her boyfriend took her to Wendover. She doesn't understand why it makes my friend mad.

It's sad. I cannot say I'm a saint because I am far from it, but I vowed to never treat my son like my mother treated me. Her career always came first and it harmed me in the end. I always feel for the little ones in situations like this.

I'm with you. I am not the best mom in the world, but I do understand that my daughter needs to come first.

Well if you ask Travolta, Scientology is why his life is "stable". So personally I'd prefer some of those other examples.

Yeah, but at least he's not as whacko about it as Tom Cruise. For him and his family it seems to work and he doesn't seem like a nut job.

Dr. Phil gets smacked upside the head by the Spears family for not telling the truth about his involvement with them.

Taylor scorched Phil, saying it was even "inappropriate" for Phil to bring up doing a show, and that the family thought it would be detrimental to Britney.

What's more, Taylor said that the family felt "betrayed" that Phil would issue any kind of statement after meeting with Brit, and that nobody had given him any authority to say anything, much less bellow on and on like he did.

It's a total smackdown.

I read that this morning on TMZ. Dr. Phil will do anything to try to prove he is a real doctor........hahaha

There you go...trying to apply rational thinking to a person who is not rational. I'd be more creeped out if you could understand it. I'm sure you have developed into a great mother, but it's just not going to work that way for everybody.

There are different types of mania and different levels of it. What most people associate with the mania type of bi-polar is self destructive behavior (Brittany anyone?), but for some it can just be a period of incredible energy.

I believe it was Diane Sawyer that wrote a book about having it and how much work she would get done because she wasn't sleeping. I think it was her. It was a famous newswoman, anyway.

So sometimes people can channel it in an effective way and for others its destructive.
