I, for one, don't feel sorry for Katie! She's making the choice to be with him. I heard her say somewhere that at 13 her dream was to marry Tom Cruise. She still sees him through that starstruck kid's eyes and she's fulfilling her fantasy. When reality sets in, that marriage will be over! The sad thing is that there will be a kid in the mix!

(BANG) - Tom Cruise is reportedly fuming over reports controversial biographer Andrew Morton is writing a book about him.

Morton, famous for his biographies on the late Princess Diana, Madonna and Monica Lewinsky, has started researching the actor's life story and is hoping to release the unauthorised book late next year.

The writer has already been spotted at a Los Angeles restaurant chatting with private detective Paul Barresi, a former associate of Cruise - who is expecting his first child with fiancée Katie Holmes.

In 2002, Barresi was responsible for discrediting claims made by a porn actor that he and Cruise had sex together.

Morton was also spotted chatting to attorney Graham Berry who represented a psychiatrist involved in a libel suit against the Church of Scientology, of which Cruise is a devoted follower.

Berry has refused to reveal what the pair discussed, but is quoted in America's New York Daily News newspaper as saying: "Cruise can be compared to Charles Lindbergh and his support of Nazi Germany."

Cruise's publicist and sister, Lee Anne De Vette, ha so far refused to comment on the proposed biography.

Heh.... my friend's cousin that I've referred to previously has been quoted in the National Enquirer. Apparently they called her and told her they were from the LA Times, and then she discovers the article.

"They both have perfect health. Everyone's delighted. All these stories about the family being unhappy with Tom and Katie expecting are untrue."

Her parents, though they're Catholic, seem to be fine with all of this. Tom's welcome at their home. They're happy the couple are going to wed, although they haven't told the family yet when the date will be."

Katie's uncle, Richard Holmes, who admitted he first knew of his niece's pregnancy when it was announced on TV, added: "I don't believe for a second this is IVF."

Cindy Holmes, whose husband is Katie's first cousin, said: "I just don't believe this is an in vitro birth. I believe the conception was natural. Her dad Martin loves his daughter. He and his wife are hoping for a healthy, happy baby."

But a member of the family's church Christ The King in Toledo said all is not smiles and happiness."Katie's dumped all of her friends from her school days. Since she met Tom they're out of her life," he claimed.

"I think this is the Scientology thing. Her mom Kathy is probably real unhappy over this whole thing.

"It's so awkward for this upstanding family. The Catholic folks here are not pleased, I can tell you.

"It's not yet got to the state where Tom is no longer welcome at the family home. But that could happen. They're embarrassed to heck."

Nothing really new in the article. Apparently the entire family really do believe in the relationship and believe that she's just a naive girl that fell for him.

Katie's father hasn't been able to work at his law firm since everything has broken... as the incessant calls and reporters outside make it impossible. Rumor has it that Tom and Katie have bought a place in Ottawa Hills... but the city's saying it isn't true.

I feel sorry for the family. I truly do.

"It's a dream come true," the actress said on the syndicated entertainment news show Access Hollywood Thursday. "I feel great, (being pregnant) is so beautiful. I've never been so happy. ... I'm beaming."

Holmes, 26, and Tom Cruise, 43, became engaged in June. Her pregnancy was first reported earlier this month.

In preparation, Holmes said she and Cruise are putting together a baby room and that she's learning how to knit.

It would be Holmes' first child. Cruise has two children, Connor, 10, and Isabella, 12, from his marriage to Nicole Kidman.

As for wedding plans, Holmes said, "We don't have a date just yet. There is so much excitement going on."

Tom Cruise gives me the creeps. I have not ever been a huge Tom Cruise fan (doesn't appeal to me physically and his acting is over rated...never understood all the Tom-love out there). But, after his breakup with Nicole and how he handled it initially, just turned me off even more. Honestly, his fan base should be dwindling. His latest antics have so many people convinced that he is a nutbar.

As an aside, his comments about psychiatry are just disturbing.

I don't understand the Scientology philosophy on psychiatry, but as a medical professional, I would like to tell them that there are not always physical tests available to diagnose various mental/physical illnesses or disorders. There are many, many disorders that have NO blood test or scans that can diagnose it. It is a matter of evaluating symptoms and trying to decipher the puzzle. Dyslexia, which Tom apparently has, is a learning disorder that cannot be diagnosed with some physical test. I know you don't need meds for dyslexia, but how about if you did? Tom knows not of what he speaks.

What happens if Katie suffers post-partum depression? How about if his child has some serious behavioural/mental problems?

Poor Katie.

Im really happy for them both , lets just hope she has more of his off spring we can never have to many cruises. we need all the help we can get for when the aliens come with tri pods and try to take over.
