| Re: Dustin Diamond I only caught the weigh-in of this first episode. Dustin is what my sweet old Grandmother would have called "obnoxious a****e". If he's like this in the first episode, what's he going to be like on day 20? I have this feeling that his BS is going to turn me off of watching this show. What a loser |

| Re: Dustin Diamond He complains that everyone wants to talk about the porn tape during ep 1. Yet in ep 2 after the hike the folks want to discuss the challenge all he wants to do is discuss the porn tape. I would like to know what his real reasons are for being on the show. I do believe he is trying to manipulate the cast and panel for his own purposes.

| Dustin: Jerk Or Despirate? I believe he is despirate to lose the Screech persona. Actually, Jalil White had moved on from Urkel to star in a sitcom that shows a more refined adult and had even done so on the show (Stefan Urkelle). Screech, on the other hand, made the terrible mistake of continuing to play Screech up into his adult years. He played Screech the teacher for a while on a spin-off version of SBTB. Because of that, he has been typecast. That's why he cannot break into comedy on a higher level or star in a movie that does not involve some aspect of the Screech character. I believe he came on here specifically to be the bad boy to quell the image once and for all, citing his sex tape and thrashing the other contestants. His problem is that he cannot take what he tries to give and thus comes off looking like "Screech the Jerk" instead of Dustin the adult. He hsi jealous and bitter about the other fitclubbers because they are not really locked into a character that has become a career buster His bitterness and anger is showing more here because even with has beens, he still doesn't shine. They all still see him as Screech. That's why he attacks Kimberly Locke. Although she was booted off AI, she is coming up with an album and it looks to be a chart topper - thus he attacts the AI loss. This came only when he overheard her say she didn't care about his tape. It's also why he attacked Cleatus. Cleatus is an established comedian - Something else Dustin is trying and not excelling at Da Brat is attacking him so he backs off from her and goes to the confessional to sound off. The most he could say about her is that she is a "gangsta" What it looks like is that he doesn't handle rejection very well at all. He is screaming for attention and acceptance as an ADULT. I believe he needs to see Dr Phil and step away form fit club. ![]() |

| Re: Dustin: Jerk Or Despirate? madeboxer, That is a great assessment of Dustin. To me, this man has issues that can't be adequately addressed in a season of CFC. Dr. Phil? Uh, no... How about a real psychotherapist? Cat |

| Re: Dustin Diamond The irony of him being cast on the same show as Maureen McCormick. Believe it or not, alot of people don't know who Screech or SBTB is. When did that show come out, early 90's? If you were 20 or younger you knew but if you were early 20s or older you don't watch the pre/post teen shows. And parents are busy working. They don't pay attention to what the kids watch like they did when we were growing up. It's been more than 30 years since the Brady Bunch was even on the air and to this day they still show reruns. Unlike now, back then there were only 3 channels to choose from. No cable, no satelliete dish or DVD. Our parents knew what we were watching whether they were interested in knowing or not and they knew the charachters and actors. Every generation since then has watched the Brady Bunch. You'd be hard pressed to find someone of almost any generation that doesn't know who Marcia Brady was. The same can't be said for Screech. Compared to Maureen, Dustin is a light weight. No one is more locked into a charachter than she is. Maureen found life after the Brady Bunch. Dustin's life IS Screech. If he didn't make a big deal about wanting to get away from it, no one would know who he was in the first place. He'd be forgotten otherwise |

| Re: Dustin Diamond I couldn't agree more, Shady! I never watched Saved By the Bell--to this day, I haven't seen an episode. I was in late high school and college when it was on, and I was too busy to watch Nickelodeon or whatever it came on in the afternoons. The Brady Bunch, however, is iconic and has a much wider reach, generation-wise. Dustin reminds me a lot of an even angrier version of Corey Feldman on the Surreal Life: he has a sense of entitlement to a viable adult acting career because he put in all this time and gave up a normal childhood. Not that I'm particularly invested in Dustin Diamond's mental health, but I really wonder if it's all that good of an idea for him to go on this show. Plus, his anger issues are distracting from the potential entertainment that they dynamic duo of Ross and Warren G. could bring, as they work, Rocky-like, on Ross's blooming boxing career. ![]()
