| Maureen McCormick Maureen McCormickMcCormick was born in Los Angeles, California to Irene Beckman and Richard McCormick. She went to Charles Evans Hughes Jr. High and then Taft High. McCormick made her television debut in 1964 doing Barbie doll commercials for Mattel, then an episode of Bewitched, and played guest roles in other programs such as I Dream of Jeannie and My Three Sons before winning the role of Marcia. She played that role for the duration of the program's production from 1969 until 1974 and in later Brady Bunch movies and spin-off series. Also during this time, she was asked to lend her voice to the then new Chatty Cathy doll. McCormick admitted to suffering from the eating disorder bulimia in her late teens and early 20s, after The Brady Bunch ended. "Back on the show, I could eat whatever I wanted," she told Entertainment Tonight in November 2006. "Things changed. I am 5-foot 3-inches. At some point I stopped growing, and it is harder when you are small. We never dealt with [eating disorders] on the show." - IMDB | |

| Re: Maureen McCormick I used to LOVE watching The Brady Bunch when I was a kid, and I can't tell you how much I wanted to *be* Marcia. I think I had a girl crush on her or something. ![]() | |

| Re: Maureen McCormick Oh wow, I was surprised when seeing her listed on the cast, but now I see why. She's still not "fat" or extremely overweight to me, but she is larger than I ever remember seeing her. Gorgeous as always, but at least with these pics now I understand a little bit better. | |

| Re: Maureen McCormick Almost anywhere, she'd be considered on the big-ish side of average size-wise, but fat for southern California. It's weird -- when I went to Milwaukee this past summer, I was often the same or even smaller than most of the women in any given group wherever I went, but at home, I feel kind of huge at a size 14!

| Re: Maureen McCormick It is funny how she looks the same! You can really see Marcia in her face. I hope that she chooses a healthy and safe way to work on her weight due to her previous eating disorder. |
