Nicknamed "Fat Boy Phil", Phil was thrust into stardom as target of his prankster son Bam, on MTV's Jackass and Viva La Bam. He has been involved in numerous stunts between the two shows, his favorite being when Bam woke him up in the middle of the night with firecrackers. A native of Pennsylvania, Phil has used his notoriety from reality shows to his advantage parlaying it into a movie career. He starred as "Fat guy with Watermelon" in Haggard in 2002, as well as the sequel in 2003.

Previously an employee of Acme supermarkets, Phil's current regular job is "paperwork". Phil has been married to his wife April, since 1976. They have two sons, Bam and Jesse.

You do understand that Bam Margera does that not to encourage him to eat, but because it's good TV for people who watch Viva la Bam.

I thought it was a funny stunt, but you have to realize that Bam wants Phil and Don Vito (Phil's brother) to lose weight.

Phil is a bit weird, besides thinking that he's doing exercise by mowing the lawn in a ride mower and eating cotton candy is going to make you weigh less than eating an apple, he also has some huge obsession with using coupons.

No, Bam's real name is Brandon.

And I'm not surprised Phil is doing the best out of all of them. He doesn't surprise me as a person who has an prominent personality that the trainers have to break through with the other contestants.
