| Celebrity Apprentice 3/13 Recap: Sometimes Stevie B’s Cherry Does Not Offer Salvation Thanks for tuning in to another action-packed, drama-filled episode of Celebrity Apprentice! With Omarosa gone, I’m sure there will be far less drama, but I’m certainly not complaining about that. Piers is just about beside himself with happiness because Omarosa was finally fired, and is kind of obnoxious about the whole thing. When Trace and Stephen return to the suite, Piers apologizes to Trace for kissing him, and Lennox jokes that Piers turned the elimination into “Brokeback Boardroom.” Oh Lennox, that joke was so 2005. Trace doesn’t seem to want to forgive Piers for the kiss, but Piers doesn’t care, and he toasts to Omarosa. Carol doesn’t participate in the toast and sticks up for Omarosa, saying that Oma’s a very bright woman. Piers agrees that she’s bright, but that doesn’t change the fact that she’s kind of a beyotch. Trace may or may not agree that Omarosa is a beyotch, but one thing’s for sure- he’s irritated with Piers and his antics, and it doesn’t get much better when Piers starts making fun of Trace and Stephen because Empresario is now one person down. Stephen tries to put Piers in his place by asking what he will do if the next task is to write a marketable country song, and Piers replies by singing a bad, made-up country song off key. I guess he showed you, Stephen! It’s task time, and the contestants’ walk in to meet Trump and his minions is set to some very, very dramatic music. I’m hoping this means he has something very exciting in store for Piers & Co.! Trump congratulates Piers for annihilating Empresario and setting the scene for Omarosa’s firing, and Piers tells him that it’s a sad day for him, and for America now that Omarosa is gone. Yeah, I’m not really a fan of Omarosa either, in fact, I’m not a fan at all, but I think we’ve heard enough from Piers on the matter. Moving on, Trump introduces Ivanka, and Daryl Roth, a big-time Broadway producer, and tells the gang that Ivanka and Daryl will be his eyes and ears on this task. And the task? The teams will be working with Quiznos and selling sandwiches. Oh. Well, that’s not exciting at all! They actually have to do a little more than sell- each team has to come up with a sandwich, market it and sell it, all in 4 hours (2 hours prep time and 2 hours to sell). Empresario gets right to work. Stephen is happy to be with Trace, and tells him that there’s no one else in this competition he would rather work with. I think he’s just about to tell Trace that he wishes he knew how to quit him when Trace cuts in and tells him that he wants their sandwich to be the Cowboy Club. Trace is PM on this task because he hasn’t won any money for his charity yet. Stephen likes the Cowboy Club the idea, and jokes that Hydra will use Lennox yet again to pimp out their sandwich and they’ll probably call it something like “The Lennox Lewis Knock-Out Sandwich. They’re not too far off. Over in Hydra’s van, Lennox has stepped up as PM, and he tells us that all final decisions will come from him. The team decides to market the Champ Sandwich, starring Lennox Lewis, and I assume he’ll have his shirt off again at some point in this task, because how can you market a sandwich if you’re wearing a shirt? Hydra meets with the Quiznos people to develop their sandwich, and decide on turkey with cheddar cheese. Carol take pictures of Lennox with the sandwich, (with shirt on, for some odd reason), and start to work on their fliers. Stephen and Trace are also hard at work on their fliers, but they both want to be in the picture. Since there are only two of them, they have trouble figuring out how to take a picture together. Luckily, Stephen lets Trace in on a little secret he picked up from his years in Hollywood- that they can take two separate pictures and put them together so they look like they’re in the same picture! Oh my gosh, what an amazing Hollywood secret! One that only Stephen and any 10-year old kid with access to Photoshop knows about! They take their pictures, then determine that the Cowboy Club is a sandwich with prime rib, mozzarella, onions, bacon and chipotle mayo. The best thing about this sandwich is hearing Trace try to pronounce the word “chipotle.” Daryl Roth stops by while they’re making the sandwiches, and she tries and likes it. She and Trace have a nice talk about his charity and his daughter’s food allergies. On Hydra’s corner, Piers and Lennox spend most of their time accosting people on the street. A guy with a bag and Starbucks cup walks by, and Piers tries to get him to pay attention to Lennox, and then derisively says “Oh, not a boxing fan?” when the guy is not interested. While this is going on, Carol is in the store on the phone to the printer trying to figure out where their fliers are. I guess there aren’t any Kinko’s around? Piers thinks that it’s Carol’s fault they don’t have the fliers yet, and she’s trying to deflect blame by telling Lennox that the fliers are stuck in traffic but will be there any moment. Empresario is doing better on the flier front. They didn’t want to wait for the printer, so Stephen hoofed it over to a copy shop and made up some color hand-outs. He passes out the fliers in a friendly fashion, and doesn’t yell at people when they don’t know who he is. In Hydra’s Quiznos, Lennox steps up and sternly tells Carol that they need their fliers. I’m not sure what he expects her to do, but luckily the fliers show up at that exact moment, so everyone is happy. Piers is out on the street trying to pass out fliers and drum up business, but no one will listen to him or take his sandwich propaganda. Piers remarks that that people in NYC are incredibly rude, but it’s possible that they all think he is rude for yelling at them on the street while they’re just trying to get where they need to go. While Piers is frustrated and mad at the people of NYC, Trace is having a good old time talking to people on the street. He even meets some fans, and he sends them into their Quiznos to get some food and autographs from Stephen. Stephen is really impressed with Trace and says that when you put a little Stevie B cherry on top of Trace’s great ideas, you’ve got an unbeatable combination. And maybe an upset stomach from the thought of a little Stevie B cherry. Carol is behind Hydra’s cash register while Piers and Lennox continue to hustle outside. Lennox thinks he is the ultimate marketing machine because all they ever have to do is find a product and put his face on it. Well, it’s good to have self confidence, I guess. Ivanka pops in to see how Hydra is doing and tries their sandwich. She likes it, but says it’s pretty basic and they’re not reinventing the wheel or anything. Empresario’s store doesn’t seem as busy, but they run out of sandwiches and Stephen has to take time to make more, which may not have been very good planning on their part. Time for another Boardroom! Trump asks Lennox is he thinks Hydra won, and not surprisingly, he does. He says they marketed the Champ Sandwich, named after a champ. Carol tells Trump that she liked working with Lennox as PM, and always enjoys working with Piers. Trump asks Trace how Empresario did, and Trace replies that he does not think they could have done any better. Trace came up with the Cowboy Club idea, but Stephen also did well during the task. Daryl Roth agrees and comments that Trace and Stephen are a great team, kind of like yin and yang. Trace is gracious, calm and respectful and Stephen has that amazing NY energy and hustle. When it comes down to the numbers though, Hydra sold 313 sandwiches and Empresario only sold 253, so Stephen’s hustle didn’t save them. Trump excuses Hydra and they make their usual trek back to the suite to watch the Final Boardroom. Carol states that she feels vindicated as part of the final 4, and the only woman left standing. Back in the Boardroom, Trace again tells Trump that he doesn’t think they could have done anything differently, and that he can’t blame Stephen for the loss since Trace made all the decisions. Ivanka asks if Trace insisted on making the decisions, or if Stephen just didn’t want to step up and possibly be blamed if they lost. Trump asks if they think Piers is just a great competitor and unbeatable, and Stephen replies that Hydra had one extra person and the fighting champion of the world, so the sides may not have been evenly matched. Back in the suite, Piers is angry about this, and I wish he would just be a gracious winner for once. Trace thinks that Empresario is a disease and it’s a name no one wants to work under. Trump agrees and tells them that he hates the name and really hates saying it. Stupid name aside, Ivanka asks if they should have chosen a more generic sandwich, like Hydra. She says that she personally would have preferred the Cowboy Club, but a lot of people are picky eaters and might be scared away by such fancy ingredients as beef and bacon and mozzarella cheese. Trace doesn’t think so, and tells her that they had many interested customers. Trace says he even had some people recognize him, and that if the competition had been held in Nashville, he would be the only one left standing. Trump asks his usual “If you were me, who would you fire” question, and Trace says that the onus is on him for this task because he was PM, but that during the competition, he has consistently brought in more money than Stephen. Stephen thinks that Trace should be fired because he was PM, and doesn’t comment on his own poor performance in any of the previous tasks. Trump sends the boys to the hall while they deliberate, and Trace sits calmly in a chair while Stephen flits all around. Stephen tells him that Trump likes Trace more than him, and Trace says that liking him has nothing to do with it, and Stephen knows that. Trace calls Stephen the most nervous person ever, and Stephen replies that he has ants in his pants. Trace says that Stephen has “crabs or something,” and Stephen says “No, those days are over.” (!) I think I learned way more about Stephen Baldwin tonight than I ever wanted to. Trump calls the men back in the Boardroom, and tells them that he likes both of them and they both did well on the task. Unfortunately, not well enough so someone is going home. Trump says that it’s hard for a country boy like Trace in the big city, and Hydra had Lennox so they were already a step ahead. He asks Stephen how many decisions he actually made, and Stephen says that he mostly deferred to Trace, but offered suggestions here and there. There’s a little more talking, but none of it involves people in the closet or being hated by one’s children, and then Stephen gets fired. Just like that. When Trace returns to the suite, everyone is happy to see him, and they all start to celebrate their final 4 status. They’re just pouring Trace a glass of champagne when the phone rings and Trump calls everyone back to the Boardroom immediately! The group hurries down, and as soon as they sit in front of Trump he congratulates them for making it this far, but informs them that before the night is over… two more people will be going home! Shocking! The screen cuts to black, so make sure to tune in next week to see who makes it through to the finale!

| Re: Celebrity Apprentice 3/13 Recap: Sometimes Stevie B’s Cherry Does Not Offer Salva Great recap! I have to admit that I watched a few episodes when I was off recouperating and was happy to see Omarosa go. I fioud her very offensive. She loved to play the race card and the sexual orientation card, yet when someone called her a b****, she seemed to claim that they were calling her a black b****. She seemed to go below the jugular in her rantings. I call her no class. Getting to this week's elimination, I think Steven has needed to go for a while. |
