I agree....and no I'm not Southern. The problem isn't the accent, it's the stereotype that people have given the accent. It has unfortunately become associated with 'country bumpkins' and uneducated people, which I think we all know is untrue. I am from Maine and we get the same thing up here..."oh, Maine...a hick from the sticks" and things like that. The Maine accent isn't one of the more desireable to have either and it's connotation is similar to a southern accent. Even though I don't have a Maine accent, plenty of my good (and very educated) friends do and it doesn't make them any less smart because of it, although I have seen instances where people have made them feel like they are stupid because of the way they speak.Originally Posted by MHcarrollton;4125800;
I think Clint did a respectable job and his work should stand for itself. If he wasn't given the job because of his Southern drawl than Trump isn't as smart as he'd like everyone to think he is.
