I too liked Ivanka, and unlike Bill's comments, hers seemed very thoughtful and on point (not simply "that's lame"). While Ivanka is a great stand in for Carolyn, in my opinion George hasn't had a worthy stand in yet, at least that I can recall at the moment.

There was this caller that knocked him down a peg or two on the Larry King Show last week. It was so funny. She said, Mr. Trump why do you feel it is necessary to constantly talk about your net worth and how successful you are? She said there are plenty of people like Oprah (and a few others she named) that do not do that. Then Trump was like DUH I don't think I do that. Larry did not say a word! HA! It was funny because it was clear he was not used to hearing that from people.

Ivanka is a very poised, classy young lady and seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Either she had good parenting, or she is what she is in spite of the hoopla surrounding her parents and their marriage.

Her mother apparently was very strict, although given the opulence we know that both Donald and Ivana lived in, certainly there had to be a bit of an odd disconnect.

What's interesting is that Ivanka doesn't seem to completely take after her mother either. Ivana always comes off as almost as much of a blowhard as Donald.

I suppose the teenage model thing might have actually helped Ivanka. With many girls it would probably do the reverse, but since models actually DO have to work pretty hard, maybe it was something of an antidote to living in gold plated rooms and having servants do everything of any great difficulty for you.

The funniest thing about this is that she honestly thinks Oprah doesn't do that. LMAO. She doesn't do it as upfront as Trump but she does it just about as much as anyone.

A radio station in Dallas (The Ticket) is always playing oprah clips and so many of them make fun of how she shows up her guests. Like she'll have a basketball player on talking about his 60million dollar contract and she'll make a joke like, I remember how that felt in the 1980s...and her minions will all laugh. Or she'll have a guest talking about how blessed he is to have such a large house, and she'll make a "joke" about how her house is twice the size. It's really sickening to listen to her play her audience like their a bunch of morons.

Anyways, Trump hyping himself up is how he makes his money. Most of his money is made purely off the brand name "Trump". Trump represents the best, the richest, the most elegant, blah blah blah. So, he pumps up that name, people believe it, and he's made billions doing it. He would be stupid to stop.

As for Ivanka, Trump does make his kids bust their butt's which is admirable. She had some face work done, but I'd bang her.

The Donald and Ivana actually have 3 kids - there is another son whose name is either Eric or Derek. They worked very hard to keep their kids out of the spotlight and relatively normal.

When Trump was marrying Melania there was an article in one of the magazines about how his four kids were all in the wedding and how close Ivanka was with her half sister (Marla Maples' daughter) The kids all seemed very supportive and down to earth. I guess his fathering style works - none of his kids have had problems with drugs or alcohol, all went to college (well, the older 3) and none seem to live the vapid lives of so many other rich kids do. (Thank goodness Conrad Hilton can't see what all his hard work produced...)

I have to admit a soft spot for Trump becuase of his unreserved admiration and support for all things military. I actually like Trump's bluntness, bravado and complete lack of "cool" - everything he does is with a wink and a nod. He gets the joke, and if you don't...oh well.

^^Not totally so: Donald Jr had a major drinking problem during and after college. He even took time off after graduating from Wharton to tend bar and become pretty much a full time party boy in Aspen for a year or so. There were stories of abusive behavior and bar fights, once even landing him in the hospital after getting wacked in the head with a beer mug in a comedy club. He is to be given credit for getting himself together and settling down, getting married and so on. I expect he and Ivanka will be running the entire empire in years to come...

Good work last night by Ivanka in her second appearance. Interesting that they actually showed her reaction DURING the task to what was happening, not just afterwards. Carolyn got that after three seasons or so.

I agree. She was very articulate in the boardroom, besides being a beautiful young woman. Trump made a smart move including her in this season.

I love Ivanka and have been around her many times (I worked in one of the Trump casinos for several years) but she really needs to address the family weight issue...She is such a beautiful young woman but obviously is struggling with her weight again (as have Ivana, Donald Jr and Sr...) She was doing really well when she was at Wharton. Remembering her from her modelling days, it really is a dramatic change...
