Adam's biggest problem --- besides how he's choosing to come at this --- is that he's stubborn and doesn't want to take the suggestions of his team . . .

I mean, how much more clear could Dee be when he said: "They said they don't mind humor, but they DIDN'T want a beer commercial!"?

Does Adam not understand English, or is he just so ego-driven that he can't see the forest for the trees?
