Yeah, like himself. His ears perked up halfway through the show when she said she likes older men. If I were Melania (his wife), I'd hide a GPS in the heel of his shoes. He was fooling around with Marla Maples when he was married to Ivana. He's very flirtatious, and I doubt it stops there for him, married or not. Seems obvious Clint was the better choice if Trump's really looking for a workhorse, not to mention all his education, experience, and enthusiasm for the job.

Apprentice films Trump hiring and firing each finalist in case NBC opts to not air live finale Apprentice films Trump hiring and firing each finalist in case NBC opts to not air live finale + reality blurred

The show filmed Trump hiring both Brandy Kuentzel and Cliff Robertson, so they’d have footage to use in the event that NBC didn’t order a live finale.

I I think Brandy made the statement about preferring older men to flatter Trump and win the apprentice... although Trump seems to believe her statement about preferring older men. I think that becoming the next apprentice was just a game for Brandy.

Perhaps quiet poise just Trumped loud exuberance.

"The prize thing was inexcusable though. Very cheap prizes. Couldn't they give away cool things like I don't know... how about Pentax's new "budget" medium format camera (it's still $10k), wine, or other rich feeling gifts. If they don't want those golf clubs though, I WANT THEM! I want those golf clubs!"

There was no way on their budget, to buy appropriately priced prizes for these extremely wealthy players. They could have made a "commemorative" prize" like ONE really expensive club, engraved with the event's info. Or, I think the best idea would have been, in addition to the trophy...a donation to the winners' charity of choice (in the most impressive amounts the budget would allow).

I didn't care that much who won but I have to say...Cliff's exit was the most depressing finale of all the seasons of the show.. Notice, there were no handshakes, no "thnx for the opportunity", etc? To have him just disappear into a dimly lit hallway....horrible.

I'd like to offer my 2 cents on why I think Clint lost. In his act Jeff Foxworthy has a bit where he talks about sounding Southern. One of the points is "you may like the way I sound but I guarantee you wouldn't want your brain surgeon sounding like me."

It is a regional bias that Southern people can't be themselves and still be polished and intelligent enough to succeed outside the South. The cultural bias is reinforced with shows such as Beverly Hillbillies.

Southern people know this, and some still want to fight the stereotype and be themselves. I think Clint is one of those, and he fell victim to the bias against southern people.

I'm Southern born but the least Southern person you will ever meet -- for a reason. I don't want to fall victim to the same bias. I do not live in the South, and my speech is as far from Southern as I can get. Sure an occasional Y'all slips in, but I'm a blonde girl so it works. I also try to keep y'all in a casual or flirtatious setting and not in the business setting.

My sister is the exact opposite. She was a flight attendant and she loved to show off her drawl on the airplane PA before flights. She viewed it as an asset that men loved. And I guess every man has a bit of an Ellie Mae fantasy so to speak so maybe she's right, but in the business world you will never be taken seriously sounding like Jed Clampett. Clint did not realize that and he paid for it.

I don't think Brandy won because she was the pretty one or because she was smarter than Clint. I think Brandy won because she was more polished and sounded more intelligent. In the minds of Americans strong Southern dialects do not sound intelligent. Clint needs to realize this and change his makeup a bit. You can be a proud southerner but you'll never get the big job with someone else if you talk like it. I think there's a reason Clint's success has been self made. When you work for yourself you don't have to change to please the boss. But in the grand scheme of things Jethro would not be taken seriously in a Trump boardroom.

I'm sorry if I offend any proud Southerners here, but I think if you will do some soul searching that you will realize that Clint beat himself by sounding too much like a hick.

I agree, Clints yalls did him in. Brandys speech and appearance is far more professional. Clint doesnt even comb his hair, the 1st time he came to the boardroom he didnt wear a tie. Also misspelling Liza Minnelli's name was all Clints fault and it shows a lack of attention to detail.

If Trump didn't think Clint was presentable enough to be the apprentice, why didn't he fire him earlier? Trump could have had Steuart and Brandy as the final two. Did Trump decide to have Clint as one of the final two, then ruthlessly fire him for ratings purposes?

yourefired makes some good points. I do have a bias against doctors who sound heavily southern. A little bit is okay to me. I actually like it if I hear a little bit of southern accent. However, I think Clint would have still made it in spite of his overdone southern accent had he looked anything like Steuart or Anand. I don't think I would want a goofy looking guy representing my company. Clint's hair looks like he covers his head with an inverted soup bowl and cuts around the rim of the bowl. I know it is a weird imagination but that is what it looks like. He could do something amount his midsection too. Appearance matters in the business industry especially when you are starting out in a new company. After you have made it then you can let go a little bit. But initially it matters because first impression lasts.

I think the Trump made the correct selection. I like Clint, I think he was a good competitor with Brandy, but in the end, he didn't sell himself and close the deal. He shot himself in the foot when he said he chose the dinner party challenge to prove he has other communication skills, which set up the segueway for Ivanka to inquire about his unpolished oratory skills that are so important in this role for the Trump organization. She won because just as she led into her first sentence - she's already sold the skills they are aware of, so they know her credentials, she was sealing the deal as to how she can immediately immerse herself in improving his organization.

I like Brandy, she has a very poised, professional and mature demeanor, she's diplomatic, eloquent and I think she is one of those silent threats. She hit it on the nail when she said she want the opportunity to work with and help improve the next generation of the Trump brand. She didn't say it to win kudos, she's very observant. Donald Trump has immersed his children into his business for quite a few years now (at least to the public) and in the past few seasons they are regulars on his regular and celebrity apprentice shows. Maybe a bit of it was charm, but it was all truth, he is already an established brand, it's up to his children to improve and reinvent the legacy moving forward and I think when he and the children heard that, it resonated to someone who is forward thinking. Ivanka is the most visible to us, in terms of branding the Trump name into newer generations and I think his choice will only help improve it. I heard her role is in mergers/acquisitions with new business. Donald is a very smart business man, he may be a bit charmed but he also knows that Brandy is a very good representation of his brand
