4/18 Show Discussion *Spoilers*

So, where is Holly's Grammy? I'm sure since she is a singer and knows her stuff as good or better than Cyndi, she has at least one to put on the mantle beside both of Cyndi's?

Cyndi is stubborn and hard to work with, and that's certainly coming out.

And yet Holly is SO condescending.

I'm waiting for the real context of the fight with Maria though (unless its all linked back to that bit in the van, and Maria is talking about that in the boardroom).

Heh. Bret's musical opinion turns out to be useless. Funny.

And now its time for a game of "Who Goes First?"


And Holly FINALLY makes a funny with that "Guyliner" line.

"Eek" at that "Shaved" thing. And to be honest, I shudder at the idea of Maria in charge of the girl's makeup. Maria has some very good qualities, but "tasteful makeup" is NOT one of them.

The women and their non-stop fighting is getting old.

Emily looks worse after the make-over, what did they do to her pretty hair?

I think it was Maria who made the guyliner joke.

I now officially hate Holly Robinson Peete. She is odious. I simply cannot believe her sitting there with her arms crossed pouting like a 10-yr-old when Cyndi is telling Emily Holly will do her bio.

They should just let Cyndi make all the decisions and do what she says. She knows what she'd talking about. She has huge talent. They don't. End of story.

I mostly agree, boxhill. Cyndi definitely has knowledge in all of these areas which dwarfs the others.

And Maria, for example, does have certain obvious... taste issues. That's undeniable.

And Holly is indeed odious. Even when she's "right" about something, which happens occasionally, she has SUCH a self-important air, and delivers her point of view in such a "lecture voice", you just want to punch her. Constantly.

That said, its obvious Cyndi's own people skills can be pretty scary low. She's got to come up with a better way of saying "I know better than you".

I watched the opening of CA and then flipped to the CMA's. Watched Luke Bryan win "Best New Artist" and said to my husband, "He's cute. Have no idea of who he is but he's cute." Then flipped back to CA to see that Luke Bryan is one of the new artists the apprentice's have to make over. It will be funny if Rock Solid doesn't win.

Yay Sharon is back!

Finally-Sharon returns. As much as I wanted to see her on this it's not cool to allow her to miss too many board rooms and then jump in the competition at the end.

Good task for her to return on-she has useful knowledge here.

As Trace Adkins said, "If it were me, I'd just let Cyndi Lauper do whatever she wanted."

So far I've agreed with everything she's said.

TG Sharon is back. She and Cyndi should just be left alone to accomplish this task without the incompetent bitchery of Holly and Maria and Summer.

I dunno. Holly's sounds like straight up bitchery.

Maria's sounds more like hurt feelings.

That's not dismissing that. She should be more of a grown up about this. But I have a bit more trouble hating her for it. At worst, I'm just a bit disappointed.
