And good point about Rosie's combover comment, I guess all guys with combovers should be insulted because she must have meant ALL of them
I think the problem is that when we hear the word "slob" a lot of us seem to unconsciously hear it as "fat slob"--especially when dealing with someone who is obviously overweight.

That was my initial assumption about Trump's comment as much as anyone. But from things I've read afterwards, he was responding directly to comments where she was talking about his appearance and he seems to have meant "slob" to mean "messy", as in "how dare that slob criticize my appearance". Whether that was meant to include her weight, I don't know, but I don't know if the comment was centered around that. If he used the word "fat" or "overweight" somewhere else that might confirm or deny that.

Oh. This is interesting. Read this blog: http://thesuperficial.com/2006/12/ro...nald_trum.html

They really cut on Rosie's tendency to use her website to attack The Donald. And reading it, it seems true that her so-called "poetry" is just terrible. As well as pretentious for its lack of capital letters.

I don't know for sure but maybe it isn't proper to use capital letters in a Haiku?

I've never been a fan of Haiku so her "poems" don't impress me either

Why would a form of poetry which comes from a language without an alphabet have a rule about no capital letters?

Rosie's just pretentious, that's all. Someone showed her an e.e. cummings poem once and she thinks that's how its done.

She made every bit as many slams to Trump, as he did her, according to some. She hit below the belt when she got personal and slammed him for three supposed failed marriages. That was uncalled for. Who is she to say by the way, that Trump has gone bankrupt?? She has gotten into it with many celebrities and talk show hosts.
It was in the all over the news several times that his casino was in bankrupcy and was restructioning, it is documented it is not something she made up.

I did'nt mean to imply that it did have a rule about capitals, all I was saying was maybe it has something to do with it being a haiku?
Like I said, I'm not a fan of haiku and I'm certainly no expert on it but I recall reading haikus in the past they did'nt contain any capitals either *shrug*

I think the problem is that Rosie said Donald had filed for bankruptcy and the interview I saw with Donald he said that HE has never filed for bankruptcy.

Rosie should have said that "so and so corporation or holding company or whatever filed for bankruptcy" and that those companies are run by Donald Trump.

Nit picking? sure but it does leave the door open for him to sue her because Donald Trump has never filed for "personal bankruptcy"

    Found on the internet:

David Letterman, whose dreams of ever being on a future Apprentice, were probably dashed when he created one of his famous Top Ten Lists specifically for Mr. Trump's strands. The winning phrase in the number one slot was "Taj Ma-helmet". In reality, Dave actually flipped over Donald's hair back in 2002 when he created his first list dedicated to Trump Tresses.

Not to be outdone by Letterman, Jay Leno also found a way to weave - no pun intended, the Trump Tresses into his nightly monologue indicating that between Pete Rose, Donald Trump and Al Sharpton, the Tonight show had experienced excessive hairdresser turnover.

Late night talk show host Craig Ferguson:

"It has been a very strange week, starting Monday with that big farty smell in N.Y. Turns out it was nothing, just Trump talking out his ass."

Letterman set up one joke by noting scientists had been working on an airplane that flew 50 miles above the Earth. Only two man-made objects were visible at that distance, he said.

"One is the Great Wall of China," Letterman said. "and the other is Donald Trump's hair."

Why didn't Donald get upset with these guys? He's been on their radar for years and Trump never went after them. And they've joked about more than his hair. I'm pretty sure they've mentioned the trophy wives.

I think the difference is all those were done in a stand-up comedy format.

When Jay Leno stands up at the beginning of his show he does one liners, one after another... "comment, punchline"...."comment, punchline" sure some of them are zingers but he's telling jokes and he will tell a wide array of jokes about anyone from Saddam Hussien to Donald Trump and a couple dozen other people in between.... everyone watching knows he's doing his "act" for laughs.
That's the same for all the people you mentioned... David Letterman or whoever they are doing it for laughs at the start of their show.

The top 10 list is well known to be a joke....

If David Letterman had followed it up with a tyrade about Trump going bankrupt, divorcing his wives, having kids... thinking he can be the moral compass for 20 yr olds... I bet Donald would have given him a blast too!

What Rosie did was sit there ranting and she didnt do it as a stand up comedy act, she said it to be taken seriously.
Sure she did the little hair flip thing and got a few laughs but her overall rant was not done in a comedy format and she was'nt joking, she was dead serious about calling him out on thinking he could dictate morals to 20 year olds.

In my opinion it's totally different...

Rosie said that she got all her info from Wikipedia and I went and checked that particular post and read about Donald's financial history and he did declare banruptcy at least twice. Now the bankruptcy was for his casino and something else not personal bankruptcy. I think this is what he is upset about but most people do not distinquish between personal bankruptcy and the bankruptcy of one's company as far as they are concerned bankruptcy is bankruptcy.

The thing is because that is were she got her info from that leave's her safe from being sued.

Thing is people (mainly 'expert guests' on MSNBC and CNN) are saying what a big bully Rosie is and wow isn't is great that someone finally stood up to Rosie. First of all I never watch the View and because of the feud I have occasionally watched at least the opening comments. Also, Rosie has been on this show less then a year and in that time she has somehow become this huge, dreaded idol of bullydom that everyone hates. That I find very hard to believe.

It's also hilarious, Bearcata, because Trump, himself, is infamous for being a bully. He's now moved on from Rosie to Condeleeza Rice.
