We really didn't get to see much of the girl's team and how they came up with the concept and actually created the video. It makes me wonder if Marshawn actually had more to do with everything than we were shown? That would account for her being voted an exemption for next week.

I think Randall may end up in the final 4. Seems like he's getting the *good* edit.

I didn't get a TiVo Season Pass for Apprentice. I did, however, watch the first two episodes. I still haven't set the TiVo for Season Pass, and I doubt I'll watch any future episodes.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

Forgot to mention, I found both commercials to be a load of crap. Extremely cheesy and corny. It made me think Lamborghinis are cheap used cars. Still, it'll never top Dove's Cucumber and Marathon commercials..

Probably because she's the only one bitching and moaning the whole time, so it adds some conflict to the team.

I was also surprised that Markus managed to keep his mouth shut at the right time during the boardroom. He allowed Chris to demolish himself. Still, he's a loose cannon.

You know what? This episode made me realise capital "E" looks like a backward 3, so I'm going to stop using it. everytime I need to write "E" I'll write "e" instead.

And just so there's no additional confusion, when I write "I," I mean I as in me, not the Roman numeral one.

Markus is a dork, but this episode, I was actually rooting for him to stay. He did not lose this task, Chris & Mark did. Chris deserved to be fired.

If Mark was so concerned about the capital I, then why didn't they just change the font?

I'm pretty much on board with everyone else.

One of my biggest complaints with last night was that they didn't give Chris credit for successfully marginalizing Markus. In the past, when there is a loose cannon on the team, Trump/George/Carolyn have always come down hard on the project manager for not reigning in the problem. Chris is the first person in a long time to successfully do that, someone that is OBVIOUSLY a major problem and they don't give him credit. Despite the fact that Markus was the only person to suggest a question mark on the poster, which was coincidentally the same thing that the rep wanted, all his suggestions/ideas, were more harmful to the team than helpful.

As far as the question mark, I actually see both sides and I don't think that was such a big deal. A period could have been just as effective, depending on who you ask.

I think the guys were screwed no matter what they did, because they women's presentation was just that good.
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.

Wow, golly, gee, a chance to play ice hockey with the pros--every woman's dream reward. Who needs a fancy shopping spree at an upscale jeweler's, or a fine meal in an exclusive restaurant, when you can be stumbling your way around the ice, getting bruised, developing sore ankles, or getting a nice incapacitating sprain?

And based on the "reward", why do I think there was some expectation that the men were going to win this task?

I thought Trump was going to fire *both* guys. In the past, he's talked about how important it is to get rid of someone who's disruptive in a significant way to the team (Melissa, Stacey from a previous season). So it would have made sense for him to fire not just Chris but also Markus, since so many of the team members wanted him gone. If Trump, by his own admission, knows that Markus won't last long, then get rid of him now, when there is good reason (i.e., teammates feel he is disruptive to the health of the team). Maybe he's saving Markus so that when the men lose again, instead of having to potentially fire someone he likes, he can just fire Markus instead, using some sort of "trumped" up (hah!) reason.

I knew the men would lose when the editing kept showing them being uber-confident about winning...of course, some of the women may have made the very same comments (e.g., "We're going to win, no doubt about it!" or "I'd be shocked if we didn't win!"), but because they actually won, such comments were perhaps edited out.

Finally, with all due respect to Randal, what purpose did showing us so much of the funeral serve? After all, did the scenes they showed really give us any new insight into Randal's personality or suitability to be the apprentice? The show is supposed to be about people vying for a job and how they go about it. Between the "previously" at the beginning and the rather lengthy (IMHO) detour to the funeral, the show used up valuable time that could have been used to show us more of the task in action, or more of the board room.

Having cameras at the funeral makes Trump's offer look a lot less magnanimous and a lot more like a ratings grab.

I agree. I thought it was the lamest reward for a large group of women. I am an athletic woman and like hockey, but would not have enjoyed this "reward." Trump should have remembered that in the past it has been the women that have won the "car" and "plane" challenges. Who can forget last season's win by one woman (her team was lame and did almost nothing)?!

He wasn't fired, because he was the only ONE of the men who was smart enough to know that the "Green with Envy" ad was stupid. Trump would have looked like an complete idiot getting rid of him after this task. When I saw their print ads, I was shock by how bad they were. I agreed with Markus. I was like "ah that makes it sound like the car is green with envy, since they made the car green. How dumb was that!!! Dude, you want to do a lame ad like that then the surroundings should have been green and the car a different color. But even that could save how lame looking their ads were. They were so plain. I was embarrassed for them.
