Similar to Bill, I would've gone for the VIP's, however via a different route. I would've organized a meeting with several rich New York buisnessmen, and given them comp suites, meals, and transportation for them to play at the casino.. They would easily drop several grand, and the profit would be ten-fold that of a regular group of players.

Bingo. The line was ridiculous. Who gets in a line to possibly win money--- that is even if you can land on the 1,000 dollars space.

I think they should've given some coupons in Bills/showgirls hands so the VIPs / high rollers do not have to stand in lines. I am sure they didn't care either way (for the money or the car rental) they would've gambled either way it was only a matter of what is more convenient for them.
Both teams could've thought bigger in terms of prize and Protege could've taken down the shock element [read: tiger] a notch! That wasn't good strategy on Kwame's part at all as Bill / Amy pointed out. Had the VIP booth rights not been reserved the "demoralizing dunk" would've been on Kwame!
..other than the monetary constraints I do not think it viable that most VIPs will be available on such short notice! Remember they only had one day in Atlantic City to plan this whole thing out from which Kwame and Troy spent 2.5 hrs watching the circus! [no wonder Bill was peeved]
Re: Katrina whoring the rich people - I don't know, this is New York, you got to have hotter ladies for the rich guys than that. Just look at Trump's girlfriend for example.The "models" they used weren't all that cute either. These people have to step it up if they're gonna be hooching it around.
I posted in another thread about this (and I didn't watch the show until a couple of days ago thanks to being on a business trip), but my first thought was how lame the "games" were. There are a lot better ways to get people to gamble, particularly by making the gambling floor PART of the action. The three ideas I posted in that thread were the ones I came up with off the top of my head:
1) Sign up and get a button. Wear the button and swipe while gambling. We have a secret prize patrol wandering the floor. If they see you wearing the button and gambling, you get a prize.
2) Every time you win a jackpot on the slots (where we define "jackpot" and "eligible slot machines" so that we can watch them for wins), you get a $100 bonus. Go play!
3) We give you a booklet. Find and play at least one game at each of our "prize stations" to get a stamp in the booklet. If you complete all of the stations, you get a prize.
None of these have to be huge prizes. All they have to do is get people to STAY ON THE FLOOR!

JSVIC-- I love, love, love the button idea! Creative and fun... The only flaw, though, is that it was clearly stated that it was supposed to be a gamne of "chance and skill"-- maybe register and then spin the wheel to get a button? I dunno... I might have also negotiated with the "executive producer" of the show to have the winner become a part of the show. If they declined, then they could choose someone else to participate. Perhaps the prize could have been a comp weekend room in the hotel for a future return.
