He has to pick an entertaining final 2 so that automatically includes Piers. Lennox and Carole do not have what it takes to carry a show by themselves.

ITA. We've heard ad nauseum from Trump about his undying admiration for Lennox and his boxing title, and that's the only reason LL has lasted as long as he has. Carol was the best of a mediocre bunch of female contestants, which isn't saying much.

During the boardroom, Trump and Invanka mentioned the fund raising ability of both Trace and Piers, and that Piers had brought in more money than anyone. We also learned the final task will involve fund raising. To me, they essentially gave away the F2 by emphasizing the success of both Piers and Trace in $$ earnings. Plus, Trump clearly respects Trace and would have fired him in this episode if he really wanted him to go, rather than allowing him to survive the boardroom only to be eliminated from the final 4 just minutes later.

And who better to go against Piers than his polar opposite.

Yep, I think that's exactly what TPTB have in mind. It sets up the type of good guy/bad guy contrast Burnett loves to create for drama.

Really, are you serious? Trump has everything to do with who to choose! Every board room he listens to the information and makes the call on who to fire. We watch it happen every week. Even when he doesn't WANT to fire someone, if the arrows point in their direction, they are gone. Gene Simmons was a clear example of this.

I'm very serious, if I remember how some of the prior final fours were handled. It may not be Trump's call. And that could be a good thing because it would shake it up a little.

According to NBC, Jim Cramer and Erin Burnett will interview the final 4 and following the interviews, two contestants are fired.

This is similar to previous seasons, in that interviews are conducted by people chosen by Trump because he values their opinion. He listens to their input after the interviews but in the end, it's Trump who makes the final decision, not the interviewers.

I see it being a Piers/Trace F2.
Has Trace won any money yet for his charity? If not, I see him winning. Piers has won money multiple times already and if The Donald lets Trace (and hence, his 6 year old daughter) go home empty handed, well...what a Scrooge he'd be.

or maybe like Tito he will give Trace 50k I remember when Tito got fired Trump gave him 50k for his charity so it might work that way. JMO.

No, Trace is 0-2 as PM. Piers has already acquired a ton of money for his charity, so I think Trace as the last man standing would be a great finale.
