If you aren't firing someone just for a single close loss you have to look at everyone's whole record, for the whole show. Disliking Annie or liking Melissa doesn't change the fact that this task was hardly a decimation of Athena. If Melissa hadn't gone for her total record? Another classic Trump pattern would have been used and Brande would have gone for not being able to control her team. The "troublemaker", presuming that's Annie here (that's debatable), only goes on this show if they truly torpedoed a task, and caused a spectacular loss. This is all very different from the Khloe firing--which TRULY had nothing to do with either that task OR her entire performance on the whole show. Melissa's firing DID have a context based on earlier shows. Khloe's didn't.

Of all the Apprentices I've watched (including Celeb versions) DT seems to know within very short order who the strongest folks are and I believe the others are just matter of time people. Melissa could've been better - she should've acted like an adult, left the HS crap out of it and kept her mouth shut. Besides shushing The Donald is a huge No No.... ![]() Melissa should've been fired the week he fired Tionne - she only got to stay longer.

Everything we heard positioning the two others like that came from Melissa's own mouth, in confessionals. Otherwise all we really saw were two people seemingly sick of catering to someone who they don't get along with, and who spat out lame ideas as if they were coming out of a machine gun. It's Melissa's "filter" that sees this as "high school". And its the fact that she repeated that over and over and over and over again, and that a lot of people in the audience identify with being picked on in high school, that's making it "stick" so much in people's minds, I think--as if there were actually some kind of "proof" of something so darn subjective.

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 Maybe Melissa's ideas were lame, but as DotCom said in 30 Rock, "there's no judgement in brainstorming". I realize that the show is cut so that TPTB can portray whatever story they want. The story that was presented on tv is one where Melissa was under-utliized for the task. If Brande really did leave the room to take Annie's phone calls, then that's cattiness. If Melissa really wasn't given a role in Brande's project, that's cattyness. If Brande did take over whatever duties Melissa ended up with, that's wrong. And Annie, the queen of I, as in "I did this and I did that" is certainly incredibly catty and messy. She talks out of both sides of her face. It's just not good sportsmanship. At the end of the game it's one against the other. At this point, it's team against team. The 2 people responsible for the failure of the team were Annie and Brande. Not Melissa. But Melissa got herself fired. She allowed her frustration to supercede her judgement. She should have kept her head down and said as little as possible. She wasn't on the hot seat until she put herself there. |

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 I don't like Annie at all, but she sure knows how to kiss up to people and get what she wants. I understnad that she's playing a game and I do give her kudos for that. However, she just uses people - she'll turn on Brande as soon as she needs to - and I hate that aspect of her character.

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 I was just thinking, in a real business setting, how well would "You are treating me like I'm in high school" set with the boss in a meeting. Not professional! The other person (can't remember his name) judging the situation along with Ivanka and Trump kept rolling his eyes every time the ladies opened their mouths with stupid statements as if they were teenagers. I found this board room discussion funny and pathetic! |

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 Just finished watching the show last night and wow...Melissa definitely did not exit with ANY sort of class or dignity. I kind of felt sorry for her and it made me wonder how she will fare later in life without mommy around. |

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 I don't care why or if she was wrongly fired. She acted like a fool & her mother did too. It was so over the top, that I was wondering if it was for real. People, this is a game & you don't even really get anything out of it except publicity. You can't tell me that these people couldn't afford to give to their charities on their own.
