Not saying that's what happened, but since Melissa is the ONLY person who's described Brande as self-absorbed, it makes me suspicious.

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 Krom, I think you're right. It didn't make sense to me that Brande would have turned 180 on her responsibilities after her performance up to that point in the challenge. |

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 This makes a good point. I think from what we often hear in the boardroom, a great deal has been left out of what we've been shown that happened during the task. Contestants and their actions are edited to reflect whatever makes good television. Kind of curious to me that Joan is supposed to be such good friends with Trump, but they are editing Melissa to look like little more than a spoiled brat. Can't imagine Joan is too happy about that. If Trump thinks Melissa has gotten where she is based solely or mainly on her mother's success, what about his own kids. I can't imagine either Ivanka or Junior being vice presidents of any other multi-billion-dollar organization at this point in their careers. I'm sure they're not stupid, but I haven't heard either one of them say anything yet on this show that sounds super-intelligent, insightful, or business-savvy. Mostly they seem to be there to kiss their father's behind and keep the empire in the family. That's hardly vice presidential material. I don't think Trump has any right to make Melissa look like she needs mommy to survive. |

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 joan would only now be seeing the edits...maybe she's already disowned him. the donald probably won't poke a very big stick at nepotism. he's GOT to know he's just as guilty as joan, right? |

Editing can't put words in people's mouths--all it can do is change context. Melissa's words pretty much damn her as an unpleasant, bitter harpy, unless Annie is pulling a LOT of stuff that isn't making it on camera. So THAT'S the one way editing could be cheating her. But just because its possible doesn't mean its proven. The show is clear in showing Annie's annoying side, so I don't see why'd they'd hesitate to show her being two-faced (the biggest of Team Rivers charges against her). Brande, on the other hand, could have been easily "edited" by including Melissa's comments about her and only showing footage which supported it. It didn't take any words coming out of Brande's mouth, all it took was Melissa's words and a series of shots of Brande shopping for an outfit.

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 Get her off my tv. She whines when her team is winning ... because they are yelling at mommy. "IT'S NOT PERSONAL, IT'S JUST BUSINESS." Except that this season, Trump has made it overtly obvious that he has favorites. ugh.

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 I will say this.. I give Melissa some credit for telling her mom to button it. She has a good point.. Joan is nearly 80 years old.. shes NOT going to change and she is going to be out spoken.

| Re: Melissa Rivers - Season 2 I thought the funniest moment of the boardroom was Melissa insisting that the facts were now out that there had been a conversation involving very loud language (Annie's barrage), and that they were now done with that discussion, end of story, and she claps her hands to show how done everyone officially was. As though she was in charge of the boardroom's agenda. Piers was looking at her with disbelief. Stupid, stupid of Melissa, because DT would have handled the situation exactly as Annie did. |
