| Re: Jesse James - Season 2 I've watched Jesse on TV for years. He's not a *nice* guy and not for one second on this show did I see him pretend to be anything other than who he is. He wins points with me just for that. No "schtick" involved. He's a rough character and I was actually a bit surprised that he was as laid-back for so much of the competition - the Right Guard scene was the Jesse I've seen on TV & movies. Anyway, he was a success well before he met Sandra Bullock, so I can understand why he didn't feel it necessary to drag her into the proceedings. Speaking strictly for myself, the idea of hitting up friends and family for money so I can win some cruddy reality competition makes me squeamish. Like all the other celebrities involved in this show, Jesse can write a cheque to a charity any day of the week. I have no idea why he elected to do this show. Perhaps it was as he said - he wanted to show that a "welder from Long Beach" can be a success. It probably had more than a little bit to do with the fact he's got a new show on Spike coming up. If we're hung up on the charity thing, well...maybe he didn't win any money for "his" charity, but he participated in tasks that won money for several different charities, and he did his part besides being the most creative person of them all. He's the only one who came out of this with his reputation intact and who didn't make a complete ass of himself/herself. Maybe I wasn't watching that closely on Sunday, but I saw zero animosity between Dennis & Jesse. Jesse is hardly the type to coddle someone because they have a problem, and I can't believe that Dennis would expect A&E-style Intervention from Jesse. I didn't see any hurt emanating from Dennis. ![]()

| Re: Jesse James - Season 2 I guess we were, then. anders, Jesse did a kind of docu-drama with Kid Rock. It mostly had to do with a road trip on their bikes, but there was a fair bit of stuff with his wife which wasn't very pretty. I can't recall the name of it, I watched it quite a while back on TLC or Spike, can't remember which.

| Re: Jesse James - Season 2 Jesse is on Regis and Kelly right now and he said that he didn't think Trump knew what to make of him like he probably associated him with the janitor or the guy that washes his car. He also saifd that Trump would have been more impressed with him if he dressed in loafers with no socks and carried a man-purse. He may be right. |

| Re: Jesse James - Season 2 This is my first trip to this tread but I watched the show where Jesse called Dennis out about his drinking when Dennis got "fired" and then the show where he called him "stupid." I also watched various shows that Jesse was in including the one where he was married to the porn star Janine. He has an abrasive personality which works in the business he was in with his bike shop. After years of hanging out with recovering addicts I didn't find Jesse's behavior that out of line either time. Dennis doesn't need to be coddled. I'd be willing to bet that Dennis surrounds himself with people who either don't talk about his drinking, have as big of a problem as he does or who coddle him already. I didn't see Dennis remotely hurt in the show where he was called stupid. I saw him possibly ashamed that this little issue was suddenly public, that it wasn't agreeable etc. but I didn't see hurt. Jesse calls it as he sees it. He's not going to sugar coat it to try to make people happy. |
