Darn it, I thought it would be over by now and I would just pop in to check on the winner.

I guess I should check to see if I can get the show on an early feed. I love my timeshifting channels.

A quick shot of Canadian Conservative MP Jason "I'm Still A Virgin At 40" Kenney

then Eva takes the stage. She singing "Fallin' For You".

Eva gets a platinum record for one of her singles and a gold record for her CD. She says the winner is in for a whirlwind of a year and they should remember to be thankful for what will happen to them. Glad to see she's not bitter or upset her career hasn't really taken off like many predicted it would.

Now to waste more time we get the obligatory duet between the Top 2. But first we get recaps of their performances throughout the summer. Dear God in Heaven will this show ever end?????

They don't duet one song but a number of different songs including Elvis for JayDee. It's a hot mess really.

Ben announces that the Top 3 will tour Canada this fall. Brian, JayDee & Carly Rae will tour together. I guess they felt no matter who won there wouldn't be enough interest to fill any venues. I don't know why they didn't tour the entire Top 10? They never learn these people, they never learn a thing.

Well Ben said the results would be announced after the break and the break has now ended. Ben's holding the envelope. First though we have to get the judges' comments.

Jake - Canada finally made the decision and let's see what it is

Sass - you guys have entertained us to no end

Ben says it's a privilege to have been with these boys all summer - yeah right!

Well, colour me shocked. I figured Jaydee was pretty much unbeatable, having stayed out of the B2/B3 all season.

Congrats to Brian, regardless.
