    It's a CI winner's song. No, I don't have high expectations!

Ooh, sounds like the judges weren't falling over themselves about Craig's last song. It has to be pretty bad for them not to be all gooey.

Eva closes the show with Alicia Keyes' How Come You Don't Call Me. Eva keeps smiling throughout the song and it's supposed to be a sad song as to why her man won't call her anymore. Her vocal is fine but the smiles are off putting to the performance. You'd think after all these weeks someone would have told her no smiling during sad songs. Oh well it's one of her better vocals but I'm still not picking up the phone tonight.

Sass - not only an impeccable singer but impeccable instincts and they'll make you a winner

    Farley - you ripped it

Zak - you may win or lose , Clive Davis should come down and kiss her Canadian .....

Jake - I can't agree more, you know how great we feel about that song, watching the background singers applaud you at the end of the song tell us how great you really are.

It's pretty obvious from tonights performances who the next Canadian Idol should be.

Watching the Honey Nut Cheerios recap I realized what's wrong with Eva's version of We Can Fly, it needed a choir in the background as she goes all gospel sounding and there's no mass choir behind her to support the vocals.

Stickle, yeah Craig's last number wasn't at all very good.

Oh and remember the Idol Finale is not until Sunday night at 7:00 PM. No Idol tomorrow night because CTV believes they'll get better ratings with an American imported show, Dancing With The Stars than they would with the CI4 Finale. Says a lot about what CTV thinks of this season, doesn't it.

    IdolCanadien!

First of all, thank you for all the work you have put into this thread recapping the performances and judges comments! YOU ROCK!!

The show isn't on for another 1/2 hour here and I'll be taping it. I think Eva will win and I'm probably the only one in Canada who actually is glad that Craig has improved in his singing and thank goodness, his appearance.

I happen to agree with you though, this is the least excited I've been about Idol finale. And at the beginning of the season I thought it would be the best one yet.

Goes to show I know nothing... absolutely nothingk!

I had to choose between taping Prison break, Stargate SG! and Canadian Idol. Canadian Idol lost out. First finale of AI or CI that I won't have seen.

I started watching the show, and I was unimpressed with it. So I'm here instead. I don't see why we have to wait till Sunday to find out who the winner is.

"In spite of all the temptation you have endured, all the suffering, you remain pure of heart, just as pure as you were at the age of eleven, when you stared into a mirror that reflected your heart's desire, and it showed you only the way to thwart Lord Voldemort, and not immortality or riches."

I am glad this season is over. it started so well with so much potential but the early votes made the show lose plenty of viewers.

Eva is without a doubt the winner. Can't see craig winning (his appearence has improved but the voice is still too girlie)

Let's hope season 5 brings improvement in the voting system.the chemistry wasn't really there among the judges this season.and please "the girl that farted on her audition" give it up already.

Season 2 is still the best, talent wise, vote wise, and production wise

Though I agree with you about the overall quality of this season, that's not the reason for the move to Sunday. CI still gets the best summer ratings for CTV and the move to this coming Sunday is to provide the maximum viewership for the launch of two fall series, season 10 of The Amazing Race and the latest Aaron Sorkin creation, Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip.
