Monday's Canadian Idol Moves to Tuesday, June 20 at 8 p.m.
-- "Top 200" Episodes now to air Back-to-Back on June 20 --


CTV announced today that this week's two Canadian Idol episodes will now air
back-to-back on Tuesday, June 20 from 8-10 p.m. ET (check local listings) on
CTV. This week's two, "Top 200" episodes were previously scheduled to air
Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m.

On Tuesday's episodes, 212 "Gold Ticket" winners from across Canada arrive
in Toronto to compete over four days for a coveted spot in the Canadian Idol
"Top 22." By the end of the episodes, viewers will be introduced to the 11
guys and 11 girls representing Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatchewan,
Winnipeg, London, Kitchener, Toronto, Ottawa-Gatineau, Montreal, New
Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, among other locales. And in a
surprise ending, one competitor receives a second shot at fame.

Tuesday's episodes are the last two Canadian Idol episodes before live
performance shows begin on Monday, June 26 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV.

Guess they didn't want to go up against the seventh game of the Stanley Cup finals. They didn't do so well in the ratings last Monday night against the hockey game, so it's probably a good move.

Well, I know it would have lost out to the hockey game in my house, just as it did last week.

I think it's a sensible move.
This is shaping up to be a good season imo, it would be a shame for people to have to choose.
I recorded it, but never got round to watching it, as is usually the case with me.

I have Bell Expressvu and the guide shows CI has been replaced with the US drama Criminal Minds at 8:00 PM EDT tonight. Tomorrow night the guide shows CI at 8:00 PM and Criminal Minds again at 9:00 PM.

Now if only all other reality shows I want to watch tonight would do this.

edited to add that I just check canoe.ca tv listings...and next week (Monday the 26th)...it lists Treasure Hunters and Hell's Kitchen as repeats at 8pm...both followed by the new episodes for that week.
Unfortunately it goes against the first 11 of the top 22 of CI....

I don't get why they have to put all the shows I want to watch on at the same time! But atleast this way, I should be able to tape them easier.

I thought I had put in the wrong channel when I went to watch the tape and it turned out to be a repeat Criminal Minds (which I'd already seen). I'm so glad to hear that I didn't miss it!
