Barbara Bowlby - Executive Producer
Barbara Bowlby is the Executive Vice President of Insight Production Company Ltd. Insight is an independent production company that is an industry leader in the creative development, financing and production of high quality television programs.
In addition to Bowlby's vital role as Executive VP she also serves as Executive Producer on Insight's extensive roster of productions.
This dual function consists of handling the administrative operations for both the production company and its television programming including strategic planning, production financing and business & legal affairs.
Bowlby's keen business sense is a vital component of Insight's ability to bring the company's creative initiatives to the international marketplace. She is the driving force behind Insight's business affairs in every respect.
The company has thousands of hours of programming to it's credit and Bowlby has her fingerprints on every project.
Bowlby's selected credits include: Canadian Idol, Canada's homegrown version of the hugely successful international series (CTV 2003 -2006); The Juno Awards, Canada's national music awards (CTV 2002-2006); Falcon Beach –- Season One (Global 2006), Award Winning Hatching Matching and Dispatching (CBC 2006); Comedy Gold (CBC 2006); World Idol, the unprecedented international singing competition (CTV 2003/2004); the highly acclaimed dramatic series Ready or Not (Global, Showtime, Disney); The Seán Cullen Show, a half-hour comedy series (CBC 2003); and Open Mike with Mike Bullard, Canada's # 1 late night talk show (CTV, The Comedy Network 1997 - 2003).
