It was so painful watching him not be able to do simple division last night. I thought it was touching when he admitted he'd practiced reading his letter several times outloud so that he wouldn't sound stupid. This is a kid in need of serious self esteem. When he couldn't get his fire started for the longest time, it was painful to watch. The look on his face when he finally succeeded was great. Nick needs to find something that he is better at than his twin so he can have his own area to shine in.

how true at least he is trying to get better! I think maybe sports would help him

I love Nick. I understand why he got so mad at his brother. I hope Sagewalk has some post-camp therapy with Nick's brother. He is the one who seems to need it the most. What would motivate a person to call his brother stupid - especially when he is fully aware of the dyslexia (something Nick was born with).

Shame on the parents for rearing a child who thinks such behavior is appropriate. I wish Nick the best.

I was proud for Nick. He is such a cute kid. I hope Sagewalk helped him. I wouldn't be holding my breath for him and his brother to reconcile. They're at that age when you don't like your family. Probably be best friends when they're adults.

One thing I think is funny reading this thread. No one thought it was a big deal when Nick chased his brother with a knife and stabbed the bathroom door. But think his brother should be at Sagewalk for calling Nick stupid. I think my kids average 15 times a day at least on calling each other stupid.

He is from here (REDMOND). He was on the local news about three weeks ago, he is doing very well, he and his family are getting better all the time and he is starting to do better in school. He says it is all thanks to Sagewalk! Really sweet kid with a shy smile all through the interview.
