More Lies???

Having just learned that Wes is not an event planner but an actor, one
wonders how many other "lies" the producers have fed us.

Are any of the players who they say they are, including the awesome
James? His presence on stage at the karioke episode revealed a great
singing voice and dynamic stage presence (he had all the moves).

Are all of the men actors under assumed identities for the show???

So much for reality.

Where did Wes claim to be an event planner (I do remember that Robb McArthur is/was an event planner)? My recollection was that Wes' identified himself as a fundraiser --- which he was for a gay org in SD. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No correction needed, Kermit. You're right!

You're correct, Kermit. Wes is/was a fundraiser. Robb is the event planner.

I must say though -- if I had the chance to do a show like this -- get my 15 minutes of fame, etc. -- and found other doors opening (as they seem to be for Wes, Robb and the gang), I'd be sorely tempted to recast or reinvent myself as an actor or something other than my current profession. Which is not to say that Wes and Dan, for instance, don't already have strong acting, etc., credentials. In fact, I think I envy the BMB guys more for their post-show adventure than for their experience on the show itself.

And more to the point -- down with negativity!

No, you are correct - I remembered the profession incorrectly.
Still there was no mention of acting, which was for me purposely misleading
on behalf of the producers.

Maybe so. My initial impression though is that his primary job is/was his development work -- that is, after all: (a) how the producers found him (doing outreach for the org at the gay bars); and (b) what he's been focusing on after the show (witness Gay Days at Disneyland and the Rainbow College Tour).

Ok, ok -- so his degree is in drama and he's done some plays. For most folks in his position, even with his list of productions, its not their day job -- for now.
