Stephanie Plum novels to be movie

OK, so this is the first I hear of this but... apparently there has been a deal to make "One For the Money" into a movie.
Reese Witherspoon was originally supposed to play Stephanie but she dropped out because it's taking so long to produce. Stupid Katherine Heigel is supposed to play Stephanie now.
ICK! worst. casting. ever.

My SIL and I have been talking about this and I would have a totally different cast;

Stephanie and Ranger are about 28
Lula and Ranger are about 30


Who would you cast?

Ranger would be Adam Rodriguez

Lula - If you have ever seen Hannah Montana then you know that Roxy is the perfect Lula!


check her out on youtube Roxy like a Puma and there is no way that you will ever think of another actress in the roll.

As for Grandma Mazur -
Katheryn Joosten is my second choice, my first would be the old skinny lady from the Clint Eastwood movies but she's too old now.

As I recall, they've been talking about developing this into a movie for ages and nothing has come of it thus far. It would be good if it actually happened. Cast-wise...I don't know. Definitely not Katherine Heigel. Sandra Bullock would have been good but she is too old for the part now. But someone in that vein.

Ew, I cannot stand Katherine Heigl. Duxxy, other than Susan Sarandon, I like all of your choices. Adam Rodriguez would need to hit the gym though...my Ranger is a bit more muscular.

When I first saw Ms. Evanovich in person at our annual book festival many years ago, she said that she'd gotten a s***load ( her word, not mine ) of money from selling the movie rights. That was back at the time of the first book - One for the Money.
Can't believe they would even consider Katherine Heigl for this. She's got to be 1 of my least favorite actresses ever to appear on screen.
