i got that email. I thought it might be Spam so I forwarded it on to their customer service, but I think it is legit. According to what I read, it will only amount to a small credit on one's account if even.

Yes Amazon answered me and they were the ones who sent it. You can opt out (to sue on your own-- right), get a check or get the credit on your account.

Hmm, I did not get it, but most of my kindle books are either freebies or from the public library or Amazon prime rent a book. I've purchased a few, but only a few. Maybe it's because I returned my Touch and my order for the Paperwhite hasn't yet been shipped. Thanks for the info. I'll watch for it.

I got it as well. I forwarded it to my son (a lawyer who does contract work for Kindle with publishers for their books), but haven't heard back from him yet. If it was in the paper it sounds legit though.

I got it, too. At the small amount per book over that period of time, I may be getting quite a refund!

I haven't received it. I even looked at "old" emails for the last few days. Maybe it is still on its way.

    Re: Kindle

I am a very impulsive shopper when it comes to ebooks and may have some money coming back too. How can we find out if we qualify? was it for certain books? I bought the major bestsellers. :-/ I guess I should start googling.
