OH I know.... it is like Alan was born to be Sanpe.... I loved him before the HP movies! He is awesome! I loved him in Robin Hood.

I was wondering... really how Harry took the news of the love Snape had for his mother... he felt sorry for Sanpe's childhood and at one point hated his Dad for his treatment of Snape.... We never learned much more about James...

I think it completed the picture for him - after all he did pair Snape's name with Dumbledore's for his son. If you can't get enough of Rickman/Snape, be sure to watch out takes/cut scenes on the DVDs. (and off-topic, if you've never seen him in Blow Dry...OMG).

I'm actually on the 6th book right now. But I'm a sucker for spoilers. I heard Fred dies in the book I'm reading now (I haven't got to that part yet). I loved him And then, while I was reading this thread... OMG, I am heartbroken that Dobby dies. He was one of my favorite characters. He's absolutely adorable.

In the last book, Sirius' death was heart-wrenching too.

Honestly, I've always found Dumbledore to be rather asexual, maybe because of his advanced age. Actually, come to think of it, pretty much all of the Hogwarts teachers are without romantic interests/lives throughout the books, apart from Hagrid's flirtation with Olympe Maxime from Beauxbatons. Interesting, however.

I'm waiting for the internet to explode with Dumbledore/Grindelwald fanfiction. I wonder if JR ever hinted at it in any of the books. I'll have to go back and see.

In the interest of maintaining my membership here at the FoRT, I'll skip the obvious joke and just say that I'm not too terribly surprised. There was some speculation/discussion about it after DH came out. I don't know if it was mentioned in the articles posted here, but the Newsweek article also mentioned that Neville ended up marrying Hannah Abbott. Just a quick bit of trivia - the actress that plays Professor Sprout (Miriam Margoyles) is gay.
