I have heard her say that one of the characters becomes a teacher at Hogwarts but not who you think? Any guesses? I guess Neville becomes a herbology teacher. But I also had him picked to possibly die.

I actually think Harry will end up becoming a teacher at Hogwarts. Remember how much he enjoyed teaching the DA? Maybe he'll be the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher -- and they'll finally have a permanent one.

I've got my copy pre-ordered and ready to go! Good thing I won't go back to work for a couple of weeks. Some may argue that I ought to spend my free time with my new husband, not an underage sorcerer. Ultimately, though, I reckon it'll be a 50/50 sort of deal. After all, I fully intend to stay married the rest of my life, whereas there won't be another Harry Potter novel released... EVER.

Lucy, Harry would be a good DAD teacher for sure! I am now leaning towards total tragedy and Ron and Herminoe die while one is trying to protect the other after having just admitted their true feelings for eachother! But I am sure I will change my prediction tomorrow.

Having read so many "expert" predictions. I have to say, I like the one who said that Harry wouldn't be killed off because these are CHildren's book and that would be too dark, even for JK Rowling. She has to leave some reason for new generations to read the series. So maybe I'm in for a shock, but I hope The Fab Trio live on...

Just for fun, here are my guesses at some of who lives/dies:

    - Hagrid dies

    - Snape dies in a way that redeems himself to the order

    - Either Mr. Weasley dies to save Percy or Percy dies to save Mr. Weasley

    - Voldemort dies

    - The trio of Harry, Ron or Hermione all live

Veej, I worry there are too many Weasleys for them all to survive.

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Book #7

I did hear her say that two MAIN characters die but there are more casualties in the book than two.

I am so thinking Snape still has quite a story to tell with his potions ability and some sort of connection to Harry's mother and her potions ability and possibly some sort of crush on her or something that will play out in a redeeming way for him to Harry.

I really worry one of the trio is going.
    Hagrid -possibly
    A Weasely -probably
Neville? I can't make up my mind.
    Possibly a beloved teacher too?
    Lupin?
    Oh one more weeek!!

I think I remember in the past the whole "a main character" dies and then it wasn't really a main character. I think the 3 kids are the only main characters, everyone else is secondary. For sure Snape is gone and maybe Hagrid, except that he is really the only "family" Harry has left.

i could see Percy or one of the weasleys... remember the "clock" which tells what is going on with all the family members!
