Nicole Richie's First Novel (Or... the end of Western Civilization)

Horrifying but true. The first chapter is posted here:

You can also purchase the book there. If you so choose.

Wait, didn't Paris Hilton already write a book? Poor Nicole, always second.

I got through about the tenth reference to "the club" before I gave up.

Chloe Parker was practically born in a club. It's like she spontaneously generated one night in 1981 during a fourteen-minute remix. (link)

It seems like it is a thinly veiled novel about her life. Adopted by a superstar family at a young age, betrayed by her best friend, yada, yada. The cover picture is quite bad.

Someone else wrote it for her.

I don't know which is worse, that she could be that bad of a writer or that she had to hire someone to write the book for her who can't write. How bad must she be if her ghost writer sucks?
