I hate to admit it but this has happened to me twice this year. Sometimes you just forget what you have read!

giggle.. and then you kick yourself because you've just wasted half of a novel before you figure it out?

    Nope.. never did that before.

I started reading trashy novels probably back when I was 11 or 12. My mother and grandmother subscribed to Harlequin and I think they got 4 new books every month. Mom still has moving boxes full of these novels sitting in her basement. I keep trying to convince her to sell them for a nickel at a garage sale, but she won't part with them.

I admit. I started reading trashy romances when my sister used to give me her old cast off ones when I was 14. I graduated to buying it on my own at half price bookstores by my senior year of high school. Now I probably only do about 2 or 3 a year. Its just brain candy for me.

Favorite of all time author: Judith McNaught. I've read all of hers. They are just the best!! Julie Garwood is not far behind.

This is too funny. My mom's been trying to get all the stinkin books cluttering up her basement out of there. She sold a lot of them at yard sales and gleefully burned even more (must be her German heritage).

My son calls my novels, porn. He should know. I'm surprised he doesn't borrow them.

I forgot to say this before...One of my big requirements in a romance novel is that there be ROMANCE. I've read some where the relationships just depressed me.

I'm a very slow reader. It's hard for me not to be thinking of something else while I'm watching TV and reading. I like to say that I'm savoring them because they cost so much.

You know what really burns my ass?? (besides a hot flame.. smart alec) when I see a book that I don't recognize by an author that I love and I start reading it only to discover that it's a re-release!! It's happened to me 3 times this year, now I always check the copyright date at the front of the book. $11 for a book is a lot of money when you've already read it.

Ahhh I love sappy romance novels now and then! I thought I would grow out of it, but I didn't! lol. Currently I've started reading Lavyrle Spencer a lot, I totally fell in love with her novel "Family Blessings" (& the movie) so I got some more books of hers & I love her. Out of the Harlequin stuff I only like the Superromance category, I've grown bored with Danielle Steel, so I don't really read hers much anymore, but once in awhile I'll pick up a DS book

Duxxy I think that should be against the law. I have fallen for that so many times it's embarrassing. To add insult to injury I usually still have the original at home.
Tigrazhia you are in for many enjoyable books. I've read them all and loved them. If you get a chance, start with some of her older ones. The Fulfillment, The Hellion, Separate Beds and a bunch of others. If you ever want a list, in order, I can probably help you. Of course they are not in a series but still I like them in order.

I love Judith McNaught books, but it's hard to come by anything new. She only comes out with a new book every year or two.

    I check publish dates too.

When I see that one of MY authors has made a comment on another author's book, I think "What is she doing READING when I'm waiting for her to WRITE something?!" The nerve! The utter gall!

I enjoy Danielle Steele, Nora Roberts, and Jackie Collins.

In addition to romance, I enjoy Michael Crichton, Dan Brown, John Grisham, John L. Nance, Matthew Reilly and James Rollins.
