God, I loved those two books.
God, I loved those two books.
I own The Lion's Game. Not bad.
Bit too descriptive for someone my age, but good reading is good reading.
I really enjoyed The Lion's Game. Well, except for the non-ending. I love John Corey, though. What a goofball.![]()
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey
Read Paulie's Precaps for Survivor:Vanuatu: 1-2-3-4-5
This was actually the only Nelson Demille book that I have ever enjoyed.
I recall reading several of his books...The Gold Coast (my favorite), Plum island, Spencerville, and Cathedral.
Cathedral, eh, I wasn't too excited about. Must have been all the Irish accents I had to imagine in my head.
Wasn't Plum Island the prequel to The Lion's Game?
Yep. I've enjoyed every DeMille book I've read. Plum Island, The Lion's Game, The General's Daughter, The Gold Coast. All very good, I thought. He's an excellent storyteller.

I am currently on a Nelson Demille kick. I am reading "The Charm School" right now after having read, "Up Country" (which is so far my favorite), The General's Daughter, Word of Honor, and Spencerville. I have all the others and will work my way through them. I am saving Plum Island and The Lion's Game until last because I hear the Nelson Demille is working on the third book with the character John Corey. I am hoping that he decides to do a third one with Paul Brenner too because I just like hanging out with that guy, I enjoy his sense of humor!
Cash...I am shocked that you have read Demille! You have no idea how many times I have wanted to suggest him to you as an entertaining read...but alas...realized how young you were and thought the better of it! (Glad you have been introduced though...I just didn't want to be the one to do it! lol!)
I've been trying to get at Plum Island but the library nor Waldenbooks has it.
