| Re: What are you reading? While I would luv to see Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, Joe and Ranger in a movie I honestly don't know if there are any directors, producers and writers alive currently who could do a screwball comedy like that and make it believable. I wonder who they would cast as Sally Sweet? That I would pay to see, if done well.[/quote] I think the Coen brothers, the Farrelly brothers or even Steven Soderbergh could do her books justice and keep them believable. She did, by the way, sell the rights to the character / novels many years ago. The first time I saw her speaking was at a book festival years ago and she made mention of that. Was Sally Sweet the ex rock star - it' been a while since he's been in the books. If he was tthe fading rock star, then I think we have more than an abundance of those around who could fit the bill. ![]()

| Re: What are you reading? I just finished the 4th and final book (Breaking Dawn) of the series tonight. They were all really good books and dificult for me to put down. I started reading Twilight (the first book) because my 11 year old daughter was reading it and I wanted to see what it was about. I got completely hooked. I really wish that Stephanie Meyer would do more about the other characters although I have heard that she is done with them. |

| Re: What are you reading? I don't know what you're looking for in books, but since we both enjoyed the The Help, I have a couple of suggestions I liked from my book group: The Middle Place Sarah's Key and my favorite: Still Alice, written from the perspective of a woman in her 50's who's diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The author is very knowledgeable about the topic. Several woman I work with read this and we wasted lots of work time talking about it! On a lighter note, I also am enjoying Firefly Lane by Kristen Hannah, although I need to get back to it after putting it down for The Help. And my daughter is reading Columbine and once she's done, I'm tackling that. It's supposed to be really good. |

| Re: What are you reading? I started Firefly Lane a few days ago and have been crying through most of it so far. If you havent already you should check out Kristin's The Things We Do For Love when you get a chance. It is my favorite of hers. |

| Re: What are you reading? Wow! That's amazing! The reservation list at my library is several months long for that book! It was well worth the wait, though. Hope you enjoy it.
