The Shining by Stephen King.

I just finished "A Live Coal in the Sea" by Madeline L'Engle. It's the first time I've read one of her adult books; I loved the Wrinkle in Time series. This had some references to astronomy, but no time/space travel. It was pretty good, although I didn't love it enough to re-read it.

Arc of Justice by Kevin Boyle.

I don't normally read nonfiction, but this is really compelling. Has anyone else read this book?

I'm reading Al Franken's "The Truth: With Jokes". As always, I can't believe that anyone voluntarily votes Republican.

I'm reading "The Last Templar" by Raymond Khoury but I think I'm going to throw it to the wall (which is what I do when a book starts to annoy me). By page 335 I'm getting impatient with it, I don't like one of the main characters and I'd like to kick him really badly... never a good thing.

I'm slogging my way through Donna Tartt's The Little Friend. I couldn't put down The Secret History but this one is sloooooow going. So far I'm finding it quite disappointing as well.
