Although, one of my earliest memories was arguing with a boy at my babysitter's that ain't was not a word. When my dad came to pick me up that afternoon, I demanded that he tell this boy that ain't wasn't a word, and he said he couldn't because it was. (can you tell I was already a budding English major at age 4? :) )
