Hey thanks for posting the list.... I have read a lot of them. Didn't like the Great Gatsby, but probably just because I HAD to read it for school. I'm always looking for something new to read... and now I've got a place to start.

Sadly, I've only read about five of these. So many books, so little time.

I just downloaded a list last week to start reading the books. Just bought Mrs. Dalloway

I did Animal Farm, boredouttamind. It's very good.

Anna, I thought the Modern Library's list is about 100 books? Is it about similar to the Radcliff student's list?

I honestly don't know. Most of these lists are so biased that I basically use them for book suggestions, but place my own judgment on the books. I'm not sure where I found this list. I did a metacrawler search for the Modern Library Best Books List and this is what came up...

I can never understand what people see in Faulkner's books, I've had to read a few for school, hated them. Came back and read a couple as an adult figureing I was just to young when I read them the first time...hated them just as much.

Loved Great Gatsby and Slaughter House Five.
