All right, Anna. You grab a list of the books we have suggested and we'll take a vote. You're our leader. I'm making an executive decision.

Okay, everyone who is interested, please give ONE selection, then can one of the moderators please post a poll where you can pick like your top two? Does that sound good?

My pick is "Black and Blue" by Anna Quindlen.

    Sedaris is great.

Not a big fan of Kingsolver. I like anything by Russell Banks, especially Rule of the Bone.

Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy O'Toole is a fantastic, fun read.

Firegirl, I read The Lovely Bones, and while I thought it was good, I certainly think it was a bit overhyped. I'm pretty much alone in that opinion. It wasn't great for me, kinda slow in spots.

I'm in. I've read the Poisonwood Bible and it was wonderful. It was last summer, so time to read again.

So, who exactly wrote "Lovely Bones" and "Exit the Rainmaker" and could somebody please select a Harry Potter or David Sedaris title to add to the list?

We're going to try to get this started up tonight, because flutey is pressuring me in PMs...

If anyone wants to add another title, just copy and past the list into a new post. Then at 4pm, we will try to put it into a poll. How long would be appropriate for the poll to last?

Lovely Bones is by Alice Sebold. Exit the Rainmaker is by Jonathan Coleman.

Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris (although lobeck might have another one in mind) is spectacular!

That's gonna be one big poll, might want to narrow it down a bit.
