    I'm really sorry about that. I tried my best not to put stuff in there that would give away a big part of the book. I just used minor examples... or tried to, at least! Sorry again!

    Hmmm... I don't know what to think when the only three people who have read the book (hazy, greenflute, and now ixcrisxi) didn't like it. Well, I ordered it and it should be coming any day now, so I guess I'll have to see if I agree...

    Well, I just finished and really enjoyed it. It wasn't morbid. I could also relate because I would have been 14 (the same age of the main character) in the mid 70s. I just gave it to my mother to read.

    I do like going against the norm though...

    I liked it but am delaying discussion until more people have read the book.

    ixcrisxi, just a suggestion, but maybe you should edit out the 4th paragraph in your longer post--it contains some spoiler info.

    i loved it.

    hubby hated it.

    maybe i'll read it again to weigh in on the discussion on july 8th. doubt i could say anything as intelligently as hazy though. maybe i'll just listen and learn.

    It isn't really all that bad. My fourth paragraph, I mean. I already edited out the one where I did way too much talking about the book and about the specifics. No one will understand that paragraph entirely until the book is read. So, I'm not really worried about it.

    I liked it. I surprisingly found the concept pretty intriguing. There were definitely parts I didn't like that much, though.

    I liked the concept too, although it was really disturbing at times. But I must admit I didn't read it. I listened to it on CD on a 10 hour road trip. It made the trip go by so fast!
