Before and After pics!

Since putting all of these pictures into the finale recap would make it HUGE, here are before and after pics of the teams:

I really don't know how else to describe it....I look at one person's picture in awe and think "WOW" and then I scan down to the next one and I just repeat myself over and over and over!

The pics of Poppi are pretty telling too. Statistically, at 50.4%, she beat EVERY SINGLE player, be they Finalist, Eliminated or Stay-At-Home except for Finalist Erik (53%) and Eliminated Brian (50.65%). So technically she's third place overall. Also, Caroline's statement to Kai that she was the Biggest female loser ever was only true in terms of personality, since Poppi beat her by FIVE PERCENT--50.4% to 45.04%. Maybe its a question of linguistics though, since if you go based straight on total poundage, its 118 to 115, favoring Kai, since she both started (and ended) heavier (232-->115 vs. 262 -->144). Although 5 pounds of that is the chip on Kai's shoulder.

I only half watched the season but watching the final show was just awe inspiring. These people did a lot of work and look just amazing.

Thanks for posting the pics. It is nice to see them all in one spot. I personally think that Brian is way too skinny at 152. I don't think he could sustain this weight.

I am torn on whether starting heavier is an advantage in the game. Someone like Poppy, who started lower, would have been emaciated if she would have lost the 53% that Eric lost. But, Eric had more pounds to lose in the same amount of time. So I just don't know which is easier! Regardless, they all achieved an unbelievable goal - very inspirational.

Some of these folks are looking too thin now, IMHO. I think, like Matt H., some of them will find pounds creeping back as their bodies try to find a more comfortable level. Maintenance is actually harder than loss, as you try to determine how much food is enough for your new body. Weight loss can be as addictive as any other drug, and it's typical for a dieter to lose perspective about getting too thin, so focused are they on not regaining weight. I think that Jaron & Brian in particular would look better with putting 10 pounds back on.

The chip on her shoulder is 5 pounds. But she's carrying additional chips on her ass (the weight of a metaphor uniting her and a body part), under her nose (where she sniffs in disdain at everyone else in the universe), on her back (where she's carrying the weight of her own perceived "superiority") beneath her feet (where she assumes everyone else should be bowed down to), and down her throat (where she's choking on her own self-righteousness) as well. So all together, chip-wise, I'll bet it all adds up to about 144 pounds.

Thanks for posting the pics Critical. Amazing results. Once the Red team started winning so much I stopped watching the actual show. I just couldn't stand their attitudes! . . . .and I had really looked forward to the season, too!
