Ah I just finished watching it on demand and I thought my machine was broken. It said the episode was 2 hours but only played the first half. I was not a happy camper. Now I see everyone is in the same situation.
That was a great message! And I've had a terrible day, so thank you.I love random acts of kindness.Really, realy appreciated.Scott- RIP SDL<3

I really thought I had read they eat between 1000-1200 calories a day and there was a lot of controversy about it. But I have been wrong before (once)

I'm also a little unclear as to whether there will ever be a merge--how much room is there at the ranch? And can all four trainers really share the gym space? I know some of the workouts involve outdoor activities, but a lot of them are in the gym too. Of course, I suppose it's also possible that at a merge point that everyone might end up at the unknowns' training camp too. There's no particular reason they'd have to be at the ranch, since they're paying for both places this season, and the unknowns' place seems to be a bit bigger (at least the pool is).

The unknown camp is the Biggest Loser at Fitness Ridge ranch so it's promotion for that spa. I'm surprised they are not promoting the virtues of it more in order to get people to book in. It does look nice.

On the other hand, last night on FitTV they broadcast Reality Show Loser, the story of season 4 winner Eric and how he almost regained all his weight. The one really angry about his situation was his wife. His wife blamed the show for her husband's weight regain and how after the show was over they don't give you any support. Eric was much more laid back about the situation. Even his wife indicated that he seemed to be an all or nothing guy. Either he worked out like a maniac or did nothing at all. Still the show did support you for 6 months. He did win $250,000. Did he expect the fame to last forever???
Geez, with that kind of attitude, Charlie Sheen's rehab specialists and therapists should have their butts sued. If Eric had won $250K in Vegas and blown it all, would his wife be blaming the casino? Anyway, I saw Eric on a TBL update show and they offered to help him take off the weight he'd regained. As far as I'm concerned, to hell with him. He knows what he needs to do to regain his health and fitness. Go give the help to someone who hasn't had a chance to go to a health ranch for months on end.

I remember his wife being very upset with his weight. Blaming the show for not supporting them when it is over is nuts! If he needs support it is up to him to find it! I remember he wanted to go back on the show and Bob said you know what to do.

I saw that commercial too and wondered if it was just a fluke--as in he happened to use two treadmills that, given the frequency of their use, were simply both at the point where they might break down--or if they really broke down because of his weight and the speed at which he was going.

If it's his weight, wouldn't you think that at this point, they'd make sure they have treadmills that can take extra weight, since they certainly know the size their contestants are likely to be, now that they've gone the route of taking on very heavy contestants (as opposed to the first few seasons, when the contestants weren't quite as heavy)? Not that a slim person can't break a treadmill too, as I've seen quite fit people happen to be on a treadmill at the point when the machine had just had enough gym use and needed attention, but if the weight of the contestants is harder on the machines, then you'd think they'd have tried to reinforce them by now, unless that simply isn't possible.

Tilden, I've wondered the same things after my DH told me what he saw. Plus he isn't nor hasn't been the biggest. It's either producer driven for drama or the treadmil has had enough....

Since you saw the preview...did this happen on the ranch or at the unknowns location?

I wasn't paying that much attention. I assume it was at either the ranch or whatever they're calling where the "unknowns" are (the barn?), but there were shots of Jillian and Bob in the promo, so maybe it was the ranch. Or maybe they just put a lot of unrelated shots together in the promo.

It did seem bizarre that two machines broke with the same guy on them, but given how many hours of continuous use those machines get, it might not be anything more unusual than two lightbulbs that were last replaced at the same time both going out at approximately the same time.
