Dang it--I just knew that the trainer casting calls were in place in case Jillian left.
I love how honest Jillian was in this interview, saying that she does not like working with people who are hateful or feel entitled (even called out Heba, Ed and Vicky by name)!
She said she really formed bonds with three people this season- obviously Tara and Mike and then either Helen/Laura. (she mentioned that she was glad that helen and mike chose her and then she knew they really wanted to work with her (not placed by the game) but I have also seen her connecting with Laura lately, more hugs and such).
As for the negotiations...maybe Jillian is asking for less 'game' play because she views this as more than a reality tv show, whereas NBC is trying to make a Reality TV show (I'll put an except below from a few seasons ago where she was talking about how producers are too involved and skew the game and the process to make tv). I wonder how far they are willing to negotiate w/ her and meet her terms. I even wonder if she has said that she will not work with Bob's members after he has conditioned them to hate her and believe in him (Master Bob) more than themselves---she was pretty blunt about her feelings when it comes to working with Bob's team members.
Finally, I think it is awesome that Jillian has formed lasting friendships with many of the past contestants (key word being friendships, not Jillian cult worship).
Here you can see why Jillian has become more and more fed up with the show:
“I think people need to appreciate that there’s a third player in this game and the third player is production. The producers don’t want to see me win one more time. My team is sort of paying for me. Letting Bob pick his entire team…C’mon, really? I get it and I understand it would be bad TV but at the same time it hurts my contestants. All of the challenges are geared toward the boys. My team is upset more so because they feel as though the rules are being changed at a whim so things will come out a certain way.”
Clearly she is not happy with the format...I think she cares more about it being fair and people losing weight than the game. The reason we do not see a lot of game talk from Jillian (like we do with Bob) is because I don't think the editors really have much to work with in that department. Instead, they get Jillian talking with her players about how THEY are responsible for changing themselves, and THEY have to look outside of the game and realize what caused them to become obese in the first place and how THEY can correct it.
Ahhhh, I am so sad that this has happened and Jillian may leave.
