    Insurance companies, both private and provincial, pay for a wide array of elective surgeries
    That's Canada. In the US many people have trouble convincing insurance companies to even pay for cancer treatments ,mammograms and post natal care. I think any type of plastic surgery is off limits for a lot of people.

    You ugly, you stay that way unless you have the money to pay for it. Our province has even stopped paying for any kind of eyecare.

    Yes, Eny, I should have clarified, I was talking about Canada. From what I've heard, U.S. insurance companies have far stricter guidelines and do much more thorough claims investigations than their Canadian counterparts.
