Welcome back to another week on the ranch of The Biggest Loser! Last week Alexandra got sent packing and Julio lived to see another day. The previews for this week show that if everyone's weight loss totals 150lbs, nobody will be sent home. If they don't lose that much, two people will be sent home. It is dreaded “Week 2” so it's really a crap shoot on whether or not they will lose the weight. Grab yourBen and Jerry'scarrot sticks and let's see what happens!
The contestants are still upset about Alexandra going home. Coach Mo isn't sure if he's ever going to get over it, and Shay thinks the wrong person went home. While the contestants are still in the elimination room, Alison tells them that if all 15 contestants lose a total of 150lbs or more, nobody will be falling below the yellow line. If they don't lose the goal weight, two people will be going home. Daniel remembers his experience last year when it came to Week 2. In Week 1, he had lost 30lbs. In Week 2, he only lost 3lbs. Coach Mo gives a little pep talk, but they all kind of sit there still in disbelief.
In the gym, Bob and Jillian are a bit surprised to see Julio there. Jillian says they are lucky if they lose 100lbs total this week. She says they should just kick two people off right now. Bob plans on getting crazy. Half of the contestants are beginning with some circuit training with Bob, while the other half are getting a calories in vs out lesson from Jillian. Bob leaves the gym thinking his day is over, but as he walks down the road, *ta da* there are Dina and Rudy standing and waiting for him. That doesn't scream “producer setup” now does it? Rudy is concerned because Dina doesn't think she can lose the weight she wants to this week. She says she worked her butt off last week and only lost 8lbs. Only 8lbs? You poor thing! Bob tells her she needs to chill out and she doesn't look too happy.
Jillian takes the Brown Team into the kitchen to show them how to prepare meals ahead of time so they aren't spending all their time preparing everyday. Wow, I can see a product push coming in 5, 4, 3, 2.... DING DING DING we have a winner. Ziploc has a new product that can help keep food fresh and help it stand up nicely in the fridge.
Hey, remember that girl who was on the show for like 5 minutes? Well, in case you forgot, her name is Tracey and she's still in the hospital. Coach Mo goes to see her and take her a Purple Team shirt. He walks into the room and she is so happy and excited to see him. She is touched that Coach Mo pulled through for both of them at the last weigh-in.
Back at the ranch, the contestants eat dinner and then go back to the gym to workout without their trainers. Julio leaves to go to the bathroom and Shay gets super pissed. She thinks everyone is working hard but Julio isn't. It's almost 11pm and Shay and Daniel are biking together. Julio comes in to the gym and says he thinks he's going to work out. Instead, he plays around with some water and then stands on the stepper machine. He says he needs to reach an “8” to achieve his burn and that he still has around 1,300 to go. Shay is still worried that Julio is going to bring them down.
Everyone is sitting around talking and having a good time when Tracey comes through the door. They greet her with hugs and tears. She says she feels weak but she is so glad to be back. Tracey meets with Bob and he tells her that since she can't work out as hard as everyone else, she needs to build up her protein. *Insert product plug here*
The contestants head back to the California Health and Longevity Institute to find Alison standing there waiting for them. Celebrity chef Curtis Stone is going to help the contestants make healthy food choices and learn a bit more about nutrition. They better pay attention though. Alison will be quizzing them later on all the things they learn from Curtis. If they answer 5 out of 8 questions correctly, they will win a 15lb advantage for the week. Wow! They better quit thinking about cupcakes and cookies and get to listening! Curtis goes through the basics of portion control, methods of cooking, and all kinds of other things food and nutrition related. Curtis rambles on a bit more and then Alison comes out and announces it's time for the first Biggest Loser Quiz of the season. The players will go up as teams and get asked a question. They can talk to their partner but to nobody else.

The contestants win the quiz and get a 15lb advantage! Now they only have to lose 135lbs!
It's challenge time and Alison is waiting for everyone beside what looks to be a lake. She tells them it will be the ultimate group challenge. There are 4 rafts floating in the water and in between the rafts are balance beams. Working as a team, the contestants have to get themselves safely across the balance beam from one raft to another. Everyone has to make it onto the raft before they are allowed to start across the next balance beam. If someone falls in the water, the challenge is over. Each balance beam is smaller than the one before. There is a prize for each stage of the game. If everyone reaches the first raft, they will receive a 5lb advantage. If they make it to the second raft, they will get an additional 5lbs. If they make it to the third raft, they get a phone call from home. Isn't it a bit early for that? If they make it to the fourth and final raft, they will get a final 10lb advantage. Sheesh, why don't you just give them a 50lb advantage and call it a day?
Everyone safely makes it to the first raft, thus earning a 5lb advantage. Although the 2nd beam was a bit rocky, they all cross it safely and make it to the 2nd raft earning them another 5lb advantage. They all make it to the 3rd raft and earn themselves phone calls from home. Although I didn't think they could do it, they make it safely to the 4th raft and earn themselves a 10lb advantage.
Back at the ranch, the happy contestants call home and have emotional vocal reunions with their loved ones. Blah blah blah. I think we are supposed to feel touched but I'm over it. Sean's wife tells him that they are having a girl.
Before their last chance workouts, the hungry folks chow down on some Subway. Mmmm. Jillian and Bob come in and they still aren't feeling confident even though the contestants now only have to lose 115lbs instead of 150lbs. Jillian thinks they have a false sense of confidence. She says if she and Bob kill everyone this week, then Week 3's numbers are going to be bad because their bodies will go into survival mode. Bob says he is going to focus on Julio and Jillian wants Bob to “kill him.” “Kill” must be her new motto this season. In the gym, Bob calls Julio aside and Julio already complains that his legs are dead. Jillian is hanging onto one end of a rope while Rudy pulls it. Bob wants in on the action and joins Jillian on her side of the rope. Julio struggles to pull them but eventually they all fall over and laugh. Jillian screams, Bob's veins bulge, the contestants sweat up a storm, and I'm sure some behind the scenes puking is going on. Gotta love the last chance workout. Shay cries that she needs to let go of her mom who was a heroin addict for 29 years before it finally took her life. She tells Bob that she deserves to be happy.
The dreaded weigh-in is upon us and I'm pretty skeptical that this bunch can lose 115lbs. I've seen crazier things happen though. On with the results!

This week, the contestants have lost a total of 155lbs. Take that, 150!! Shay says that the 15 of them just told Week 2 where to shove it. Great job. I'm wondering what's going to happen next week since it seems that Bob and Jillian took the option of sending everyone's bodies into survival mode. Should be interesting.
Next week, it appears that the contestants are going to be without Bob and Jillian all week. Bob seems pissed about something, Shay cries, and Jillian yells at someone for something. Apparently next week is going to be bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S! I am so excited! Okay, I honestly don't care that much. See you next time!
