| Re: Possible Winter edition Hehe. I applied today in NYC and think I did well. I think around 150+ people showed up. Since they are casting until Dec. 8th, I guess they won't contact the finalists until then? Does anyone know how the process works? |

All I had to do was fill out a really long applicattion and then a two minute interview on camera. I did the interview really well and made them laugh, but I kind of messed up my last question at the end. This is the first time I ever did anything like this but there were so many actors there and supposedly they were surprised at how many few people showed up (around 150). They also kept talking about how CBS is also currently casting The Amazing Race. Also, it seemed most people there really disliked Dick. A group of people were talking about him and not one defended him or his actions. | |

| Re: Possible Winter edition that is so cool Busta!! thanks for the info, Im keeping my fingers crossed for ya! Please keep us posted. I would think that if you get a call back, they would have to give you a time frame to see if you would be available. I am just giddy thinking of a winter season. Winter is so loooong, and cold and dismal, the live feeds would be great! I seriously need to get a life, hehe |

| Re: Possible Winter edition Good luck BustaK! It would be really cool to root for a FoRTer. But yuck on all the actors showing up. I'm not sure how entertaining it would be but personally I think people who are in it for the publicity and not the money should not be cast.

| Re: Possible Winter edition Yeah, it seemed everyone had a head shot! Hopefully the fact I'm not an actor, helps me. I also don't like when actors are cast on these shows. For example, at the audition, a group of them, were practicing what they would be like on the show and the comebacks they would use in arguments. It was pretty fake. Also, I was trying to find out more info about BB9, and came across this "spoiler": Someone who claims to know someone wokring on BB9 apparently told him/her that: "The season will be called HOW THE OTHER HALF LIVES. It will be 6 celebrities (paid a handsome fee for their appearance) and 6 non-celebrities. The celebrities would live in plush surroundings at one end of the house and the non-celebrities would live in the other end in "basic" surroundings, complete with mechanical rats and roaches. They unwittingly vote each other to move back and forth between the areas until they are merged. Alice Cooper is one of the celebrities under consideration-so is George Michael. 3 nights a week starting Sunday Jan. 13, right after AMAZING RACE finale." Sounds horrible!~ |

| Re: Possible Winter edition Ugh....that sounds really bad. I know I'll watch it because nothing else will be on, but come on with the mechanical rats and such....

| Re: Possible Winter edition LAAAAME! that better be false!! They did the same thing on the last Surreal Life, and it was stoopid. Sheesh, I cant believe that real celebs, even d listers would sign on for 3 months, and risk being voted off. Surreal Life only films for 10 days, or close to that. PLEASE, no actors, no lame gimics, no past hgs, (not even Janelle since she has gone over to the Evel/dark side). UGH! |
