| Our Interview with Beau, 9/8/05 Latest to be evicted from the Big Brother house was Beau, the 25-year-old personal shopper from Miami. Partnered with the loudmouthed Ivette, Beau seemed to be her polar opposite, quietly watching from the sidelines. Until he hit the booze, at least. In this interview, he talks about his experience in the house, including his unusual relationship with Howie. Congratulations for making it so far in the game, Beau! Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. Sure, you’re welcome! What was your strategy coming into the house with your secret partner? I really didn’t have one. I just wanted to be myself. My only strategy was to befriend the quietest girl and the biggest jock. Which I did with Maggie and Howie. ![]() When did you have an inkling you weren't the only pair? The first week when Ashlea and Janelle were arguing over a bathing suit. Ashlea had asked Janelle if she was wearing the bikini she had bought from eBay. You told the other houseguests that you and Ivette didn't really know each other, but we heard you mention being roommates at one point. Did you ever admit to the rest of the friendship that you were closer than you let on? We’ve never been roommates. I’ve only known Ivette for about a year, and that was because of our work situation. Did you throw any HOH or Veto competitions? No. I give it my all every time. If you had won the POV, would you have saved yourself, or Ivette? I probably would have saved myself. Everything happens for a reason. If it was meant for me to win, that would’ve been my chance to stay. Were you surprised that Maggie did not use the veto? No. I told her that if she used it she should save Ivette. She made a promise to April, and I wanted her to keep it. You would have been the perfect houseguest to participate in a luxury shopping spree competition. In the past, the houseguests started the competition by destroying a piece of another houseguest's clothing that they hated. What piece of clothing would you choose to destroy, and why? Howie’s ripped bikini underwear because he is trapped in the 80’s and they were four sizes too big. We have heard a lot this season about playing the game with honesty and integrity - many times from players who have gone back on their promises. What is your philosophy on how to play the game? My philosophy is to play the game with honesty and integrity. I stayed true to myself the whole time, which was my goal. Did you feel you had to take steps to control your partner, Ivette, at times? Or did she have to work at controlling you for the sake of your partnership? I felt like I had to protect her because people thought that her and James had a secret alliance. Within your group, the trash talking was endless. Was it strategic to constantly tear down the other team? No. It was just fun and it made the time go by faster. Did you think you had a better chance of winning the grand prize overall than Ivette? Not at all. Everyone steps up their game when they need to. I am sure Ivette’s doing great in the house without me. At times, you seemed to get along with Janelle, but to the rest of your group, you swore that you hated her. How do you really feel about her? I got along with her for the sake of the game. I don’t see myself hanging out with her outside he house on a regular basis. I could see us being party friends but that’s about it. ![]() Who, would you say, was the biggest instigator in the house? Definitely James. He made up a lot of stuff in the house to take the target off his back. Can you explain your relationship with Howie? Howie and I are just friends. I really enjoy his company because he’s really funny, and real. Do you think April made the right decision to target James during her week as HOH? Yes, It was a smart move. It was the only way that we were able to get him out of the house. He’s the veto king. What were the worst and best moments in the house? The worst moment was the fight between Michael and Capi. They were both very passionate individuals and the tension in the house was horrible. The best moments were of me and Howie in the backyard talking about aliens. He’s hilarious! Also, with the friendship in the HOH room telling stories and laughing the night away. Did you feel close to anyone in the house besides Ivette? Maggie and Howie! Maggie and I had a brother – sister relationship. With Howie and I, we just hit it off from the beginning. If you could change one thing about the way you played the game, what would it be? Nothing what-so-ever. I played the way I thought I would! What did you learn from this experience? I learned a lot about myself. When Howie told me that I was the only person he trusted besides Rachel, and when Maggie was bawling and crying before I left...I felt like my presence would be missed since I affected people in a positive way. Thanks to Beau for answering my questions from Sequesterville, and to CBS for granting the interview.

| Thanks Heppy and Beau! Great interview. Even though he was a member of the friendship alliance--who I despise--I like Beau! He seems like such a nice and funny person.

| I don't understand how you can play with integrity and then think it is okay to talk trash about another person. I find that a tad hypocritical.

| Thanks, Hep, for the interview! I still don't care for Beau... I still see him as being small minded.

I still can't stand him... he was every bit as petty and disgusting as his wicked stepsisters.... if he thinks he played with integrity.... he needs his head examined! Personal shopper my @ss!..... that title and "stylist" are the new catch words for wannabe! |
