| Our Interview with Kaysar, 8/5/05 The CBS website describes Thursday’s evictee Kaysar as a 24-year-old graphic designer from the O.C. Sure, he left his “favorites” sheet blank, but that was just an oversight, right? Perhaps not. In this interview, Kaysar discusses the complexities of how he played the game; while leaving no doubt that he never does anything without a reason. Congratulations for making it through four very difficult weeks in the Big Brother house, Kaysar! How did you become interested in being a contestant? Michael introduced me to the idea. What was your strategy coming into the house with Michael? I felt that preconceived strategies would only serve as a hindrance to our game play. I felt we should play a role and stick to it. ![]() On the website, you left most of your "favorites" blank. Why? I don’t believe in favorites. I believe in keeping myself thoroughly versatile. When did you have an inkling you weren't the only pair? I knew from the moment I set foot in the Big Brother house that Michael and I weren’t the only pair. I tried to put myself in the shoes of the producers, and in doing so, I quickly realized the likelihood of multiple pairs. You were nominated in the first week, and you seemed almost clueless on how to play the game. Did being on the block prod you to change your strategy? My strategy has been consistent throughout the game. I was simply taking note of my new environment. Much like a good conversation, one must listen before beginning to speak. What was your impression of Janelle when you first met her, and did it change as you got to know her better? When I first met Janelle, I felt she was difficult to get along with. I realized she was almost always guarded because she was also observing her new environment. Needless to say, I believe Janelle made a bad first impression, but later redeemed herself. Thus, making her my strongest ally. What was your first impression of Howie? Did that change also as you got to know him better? I felt Howie was a foul, lewd, and tasteless meathead. He is still much of those things, but I came to realize he has an enormous heart of gold. That in itself means a lot to me and others who also truly appreciate him. With a little patience, I was able to reach the real Howie, making it well worth it in the end. Who do you think is playing the best game right now? I think Rachel is playing the best game right now. She is not only composed, but has earned the respect of the entire house. If you could change one thing about the way you played the game, what would it be? If I could change one thing, I would definitely would not have taken Eric’s deal. He wasn’t going to put me up that week to begin with. It was a sleazy way of protecting himself. You were known for not showing your emotions, but there were some tense moments in the Big Brother house during your stay. Did you really lose your cool with Ivette the night in the backyard? Yes, that was a rare instance where everyone caught a glimpse of me losing my cool. Don’t get used to it because that doesn’t happen every day. I consider myself patient, but I have little tolerance for blatant disrespect, and classlessness. Do you feel you were too trusting of your alliance? And if so, is that why you showed your hand so early? I showed my hand to my alliance so early on in the game as a bartering tool. I was trading my strategy in for the trust, respect, and commitment of those I had selected to align myself with. How would you describe your dealings with Eric? Does his gripe that you swore "on your life" to keep him safe hold any water? Simply put, my dealings were warranted. His double dealing had to come to an end. He was attempting to back-door me, and I wasn’t going to find out the hard way. I broke the contract because I sensed foul play. He was upset because I was defeated. Who do you hope to see in the final two? I can give my “final two” prediction, but I hope the final three will turn out to be Janelle, Howie, and Rachel. Do you believe April when she says she's not a smoker? April is in Denial about her smoking habits. Who is the biggest threat in the house to the rest of your alliance? Unfortunately, James is currently the biggest threat to the alliance. His disgusting actions will be dealt with. Who is the biggest instigator in the house? It turns out that James seems to be one of the biggest instigators in the House. He has officially taken the title from Eric, but Beau comes in a close second. What were the worst and best moments in the house? The worst moment by far was the altercation we had in the courtyard. The best moment was watching a rotten houseguest squirm and turn pale. Which bothers you more: Ivette's mouth or James' backstabbing? Although Ivette’s mouth drives me nuts, it’s virtually harmless. James, on the other hand, is a snake. He doesn’t have the confidence to take me or the team from the front so he had to stab us in the back. Et tu, James? Do you have any regrets about moves you made in the game? Do you have any words you would take back if you could? I would not have made any deals with Eric. What did you learn from this experience? I’ve learned that I’m capable of more than I had every expected. And one truly can find a friend in the most peculiar places. Did you suspect there would be a twist with a re-entering houseguest? Yes, I don’t put anything past the producers of Big Brother. I have to admit, I was praying for a miracle. Do you think you'll be voted back in the house? I’m not sure, but I would be honored to be given that second chance. I am no better than the next person, but if I am selected, I will give it my all. Many thanks to Kaysar for the informative answers, and to CBS for granting the interview.

It seems like he really doesn't like James. When he comes back, with James hopfully gone, I think he will play a better game. Thanks for the interview Hepcat! Great job as always. | ||

| Thanks to hepcat and Kaysar. I sure like the way Kaysar presents himself verbally, but at the same moment that seems like one of his primary weaknesses as well. "I felt Howie was a foul, lewd, and tasteless meathead" No, don't pussyfoot around, tell us what you really believe, Karsar. LOL He doesn't pull too many punches and seems on target (mostly). I'm not so sure I buy into the James hate though; he's there (like them all, supposedly) to play the game, isn't he? He's got to blaze his own path at some point, he's just doing it earlier than his buds anticipated. |

| Kaysar says Beau is a big instigator, yet we rarely see him in any of the episodes? |
