| Our Interview with Eric, 7/29/05 Thursday night we watched as Eric, the 36-year-old firefighter from Las Vegas, was evicted by an alliance that included former allies as well as established enemies. He may have had a limited stay in the Big Brother house, but he made good use of his time, winning Head of Household in the second week. While HOH, he rallied an alliance that included most of the house - only to find himself on the block a week later when his evictee’s secret partner held the reigns. Congratulations for making it through three very difficult weeks in the Big Brother house, Eric! Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. As a firefighter, you put your life is at risk every day to save others. How does living in the Big Brother house compare, stress-wise? It is a totally different type of stress in the house because you can trust virtually no one. As a fireman, you depend and trust on the guys you work with, and the citizens that I respond to want me to help them. ![]() How did you become interested in being a contestant? My wife Julie dared me to apply after I was watching BB5 and complaining about Jase. What was your strategy coming into the house with Maggie? 1) To cook. 2) To memorize everything. 3) To gain alliances early. 4) Divide and conquer! Did you figure out the pairs? Maggie figured out the pairs more than I did. She is very good at reading people because of her job as a ER nurse. When did you have an inkling you weren't the only pair? The first night while on the surfboard, Maggie heard Sarah call James “babe”. That’s when we knew we weren’t alone. Looking at how the game turned, would you have chosen a different partner to enter the house with? No way. Maggie is the BEST! What advice would you give to Maggie, now that she's lost her partner? She has no choice but to trust April, Jen, Ivette and Beau, and ride that wave as long as she can. Who is the biggest threat in the house to Maggie? James and Kaysar are equally a big threat to Maggie because they know that she is going to come back with a vengeance. Can you expand on your relationship with Maggie, and if you think the experience will affect it? I think whaat you have seen on the show really tells it all. We are family now more than ever! This experience has only made our bond stronger. Besides Maggie, was there anyone you could trust in the house? Ivette and Beau are really the only other ones that I can truly say that I trusted. Which bothers you more: Kaysar putting you up after the veto ceremony, or James making a deal with Kaysar to use the veto on himself? Kaysar swearing on his life to keep me safe was the biggest problem for me in the house by far. Who do you think is playing the best game right now? I think Rachel is staying under the radar and playing very well right now. Do you have any regrets about moves you made in the game? The only regret I have is that I did not put up and evict Kaysar last week. Do you have any words you would take back if you could? No. Who do you think was the worst instigator in the house? I think James is lying a lot to try and stir things up. He is the one that tries to get people worked up. How debilitating is the PB&J diet? Does it affect gameplay? It absolutely affects the game. The first veto competition for me was very difficult because I had no energy. The PB&J diet tears you down both physically and mentally. Is there anything else you would want viewers to know about you or your perception of the game? Just that I am the same intense, caring, funny guy who is extremely loyal and loves his family so much it hurts. Thanks to all of you that have supported me! Many thanks to CBS for allowing this interview.

| Hep! Love the fact that he wouldn't take back a single thing he's said. He's said a lot of nasty, harmful things about people. Way to go, Eric. ![]()

It might sound like an odd comment, but if you've been in the ER world - it's very understandable (and very true).
